btw what's your thoughts on Columbina as a deer variant of sorts, maybe something like / based off of a Ceryneian Hind ?

That’s a cool theory! I definitely agree she’s a form of prey/herbaceous animal but for me personally Ibelieve she’s a goat or sheep monster! I mostly make this connection because sheep are often the symbol of innocence and sacrifice and same with goats being common sacrifice for “salvation” which is what happened to her! I feel she’s also meant to contrast the canid like Pierrot with dogs often protecting sheep from predators and could also encompass the idea of a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” as Pierrot attempted to me softer and less menacing for her. Harlequin on the other hand representing a “poison” or venom which is commonly associated with snakes! And snakes in a religious sense are often a direct contrast to a perfect innocent sheep but that’s just my take!!

Hi I want you to know your Columbina design makes me so happy :') I love love love seeing the curly hair on her, I think it makes her look so cute and it goes well with the fluffy skirt. I think characters in general that have a clown/jester-esque design with long or short curly hairstyles look so adorable, it looks especially well with any fluffy/lacey accents on the outfit or any tassels even.

Aww thank you!! And yes I adore drawing her with curly hair and fluffy outfits! It’s meant to be a visual portrayal of how she was spoken about being softer and more gentle along with direct inspiration from real depictions of the columbine from the original Commedia Del’arte and the large puffy dress meant to contrast against the slimmer fitting outfits of the other cast!

I like how they all have their own unique inspo like ticket taker being more aquatic themed and the doctor being more bird-like. Are they modeled after specific types of dragons?

Hi!! I’m so glad you like my TFC dragons! And yes ticket taker is leopard seal inspired, doctor is Quetzalcoatl inspired. Jester is specifically a Chinese dragon but Pierrot and Harlequin are both western styled dragons and aren’t any specific dragon race? I’d say harlequin is a mix between Chinese dragon and a western dragon in terms of design!
