Sephiroth and Bianca go to an amusement park…full of dinosaurs 😈 Jurassic world lol
Oh no, you did not. You just put Bia in Jurassic Park. I LOOOOOVE this idea. I used Shadows Over the Cradle (Redemption!AU) for this one, since FWC's main canon Bia wouldn't be as fun.
Possible Trigger Warnings: blood, captivity, distress, genetic experimentation, medical trauma, violence. All those are mentioned.
Possible Tropes: Adaptation Expansion, Alternate Universe, Alternate Alternate Universe - Crossover, Alternate Universe - Domestic / Vacation AU, Amateur Criticism / Expert Evaluation, Angel OC, Badass Couple, Banter / Playful Teasing, Casual Wear Out of Character Appearance, Character Characterization - Canon-Compliant (Pre-Madness / Crisis Core Sephiroth), Crossover, Doting Husband (Soft Sephiroth), Foreshadowing, Found Family (Dark Backstory Traumatic Bond), Gallows Humor (Casual Badassery), Genetically Engineered Protagonists, Husband and Wife / Married Couple Dynamic, In-Joke / In-Universe Parallel, Mako Eyes, Mutual Protection / Protective Partner, Original Female Character (OFC), Overpowered Character in Low-Stakes Environment, Red String of Fate, Tactical Mind / Constant Vigilance, Type of Sephiroth: Crisis Core / Pre-Madness Sephiroth (Sanity Intact, SOLDIER First Class Hero, Sane Hero AU)
The tropical air of Isla Nublar was thick with humidity, smelling of damp earth, sea salt, and the faintly metallic scent of ozone from the perimeter fencing.
Around them, hundreds of tourists in bright tropical shirts and sunhats milled about the main concourse, clutching oversized sodas and screaming in delight as a juvenile Pachycephalosaurus trotted past in a petting zoo enclosure.
Sephiroth stood near a towering sign that read JURASSIC WORLD: MAIN STREET, looking completely out of place despite his efforts.
He wasn't wearing his silver pauldrons or the full floor-length coat. Bianca had strictly forbidden military regalia for their day off, but his casual wear still carried an intimidating, sharp edge.
He wore a simple, fitted black long-sleeve shirt, dark trousers, and sturdy boots. His waist-length silver hair was pulled back into a neat, low ponytail secured with a leather strap. His luminous green Mako eyes swept the crowded plaza with the quiet, practiced efficiency of a man evaluating sightlines and structural weak points.
"You know," Sephiroth said. His voice was low, calm, and utterly unimpressed as a massive shadow passed overhead. "They spent billions of gil—"
"Dollars, Sephiroth," his wife peeped up.
"They spent billions of dolalrs cloning prehistoric reptiles, and yet the ice cream stand over there has a forty-minute line."
Bianca, standing beside him in an oversized beige t-shirt, dark shorts, and her signature white ribbon tucked into her half-up hair, let out a soft laugh.
She adjusted her sunglasses. Her black-and-indigo wings folded tightly against her back.
"It's called the 'human experience,' Sephiroth," Bianca teased, as she bumped her shoulder against his arm. "People like line waiting. It builds anticipation. Besides, you promised me we’d do whatever I wanted today. No Shinra duties, no training simulations, no sword katas."
"I am holding up my end of the bargain," Sephiroth replied mildly. He reached out, his long fingers gently catching her wrist for a moment, specifically brushing over the faint, glowing red thread looped around her skin, before letting his hand drop naturally to her side. "I just didn't expect 'whatever you wanted' to involve a remote island populated by extinct apex predators."
"Oh, come on. You have to admit it’s impressive," she said, as she pointed toward the lagoon where a massive crowd was taking their seats in an amphitheater. "They have a Mosasaurus in there. It eats great white sharks like popcorn."
"Hojo creates far worse in the lower levels every Tuesday," Sephiroth noted. "And those usually shoot ooze or corrupt the local water supply. A sixty-foot marine lizard is remarkably grounded by comparison."
Bianca rolled her eyes. A playful smirk touched her lips. "You are impossible to entertain. Normal people look at a T-Rex and feel awe. You look at a T-Rex and compare it to a Tuesday in R&D."
"I’m just observing," Sephiroth said with a faint, almost imperceptible twitch of humor at the corner of his mouth. "Although, I will admit that the logistics are fascinating. The containment fencing relies on a heavy electrical grid. If a storm hits this region and takes out the primary power grid, the backup generators would need to kick in within four seconds, or sixty percent of these paddocks become open country."
Bianca paused and looked up at him with a mix of affection and exasperation. "Did you seriously spend the boat ride here reading the park's engineering blueprints?"
"I skimmed them," Sephiroth admitted. "It’s good practice. And considering we're standing in a valley surrounded by bio-engineered carnivores, I prefer knowing where the emergency exits are."
"You're hopeless," she chuckled, wrapping her arm through his. "Come on. I want to see the raptors. I heard they have a specialized enclosure in the restricted northern sector, but the tour tram goes right past it."
Sephiroth allowed her to lead him toward the Monorail station. His hand rested comfortably over hers where it rested in the crook of his arm.
As they walked, a sudden loud, guttural roar echoed from the jungle beyond the high concrete walls: a sound that rattled the glass in the gift shop windows and made several nearby tourists jump in alarm.
Sephiroth didn't even flinch. He merely tilted his head slightly toward the sound, analyzing the pitch and distance.
"Indominus Rex," Bianca murmured and read the nearby promotional poster. "A genetically modified hybrid. Tyrannosaurus base, mixed with Carnotaurus, cuttlefish, tree frog, and a few undisclosed classified strands."
Sephiroth scoffed quietly, a sound so dry it was almost invisible. "Amateurs."
"Excuse me?"
Mixing cuttlefish DNA for camouflage and tree frog DNA for thermal regulation?" Sephiroth shook his head slightly as they stepped onto the sleek, air-conditioned monorail car. "It’s sloppy work. They're layering traits on top of a baseline organism without stabilizing the neural pathways. A creature like that isn't just dangerous. It's going to have an existential crisis the moment it realizes it doesn't belong in its own ecosystem."
Bianca looked at him. Her indigo eyes softened as she picked up on the quiet, unstated parallel he was making to his own engineered existence. She leaned her head lightly against his shoulder as the monorail began to glide smoothly along its elevated track, overlooking the vast, sweeping green valleys populated by herds of Apatosaurus and Triceratops.
"Well," Bianca said quietly, "if it has an existential crisis, it can take it up with you. I'm sure you could give it a very stern lecture on coping mechanisms."
Sephiroth let out a low, genuine breath of laughter: a sound so rare and quiet that only Bianca, bound to him by blood, trauma, and fate, ever truly got to hear it. He unclasped his arm from hers only to wrap it around her waist and pulled her a little closer against his side as the jungle scenery rolled past.
"I’d rather just cut it in half and get back to the hotel," Sephiroth said simply, resting his chin lightly against the top of her dark hair. "I believe you mentioned something about room service and a balcony overlooking the ocean tonight?"
"Only if you buy me one of those ridiculous plush raptors from the gift shop first," Bianca bargained. She turned her face up toward his, causing his chin to slip from her head.
Sephiroth looked down at her. His bright eyes softened into something entirely human, entirely hers.
"A plush?" Sephiroth repeated, raising an eyebrow with an amused, easy grin. "Bianca, if I walk around this park holding a stuffed dinosaur, my reputation as SOLDIER's finest will never recover."
"Oh, please. You're out of uniform, off the clock, and on vacation," she countered, as she poked his chest. "No one here knows who you are. To them, you're just a tall guy with ridiculously long silver hair who won't buy his wife a souvenir."
"A tragic mischaracterization," he murmured, his thumb lightly stroking her hip through her shirt. "Fine. I will acquire the raptor. But if the perimeter fences fail and a mass containment breach occurs while we are in that shop. . ."
He paused, shifting his posture just enough to glance out the monorail window toward the dense canopy below.
". . .I'm not wasting time running back to the hotel for her. I'll just draw Masamune out right in the middle of Main Street and clear a path to the docks myself."
Bianca chuckled, resting her hand over his. "You're going to summon a seven-foot nodachi in front of hundreds of tourists? In a world where we do not belong?"
"If an engineered hybrid decides to interrupt our evening," Sephiroth said, as he pressed a quiet kiss to her temple, "I intend to end the disruption as efficiently as possible."

Author’s Note: This scene was born out of a friend, @syntheticdesign02, lightheartedly tagging how often I mention her habit of biting people. While it started as a fun offhand comment, I wanted to explore how that physical, playful aggression would play out. It turns out even SOLDIER 1st Class veterans aren't entirely safe from a tenacious 2nd Class with sharp teeth and zero interest in reading the combat manual.
The synthetic hum of the Fusion Chamber vibrated through the soles of Bianca’s combat boots: a low, mechanical purr that was instantly swallowed by the hiss of atmospheric depressurization.
Before her heavy soles even touched the virtual deck, Bianca reached up and snapped the high-tech VR headset down over her eyes. Beside her, three identical sets of glowing visors clicked into place.
Instantly, the sterile, Mako-stained steel of the lower Shinra research level dissolved into a hyper-realistic, sprawling simulation of the ancient Wutai mountain peaks. Jagged obsidian cliffs materialized beneath them, a biting gale whipping dust through the canyon as the Biorhythm-Testing Materia Equipment calibrated to their vital signs.
"Data feed is synchronized," Angeal’s calm voice echoed clearly through the headset’s internal comms, though physically he stood just outside the chamber, thumbing the Shinra Application on his standard-issue flip phone to oversee the diagnostic. "Biorhythm, heart rate, physical strain. it’s all tracking. Don't break the equipment this time. I don't feel like forfeiting two years of salary."
"No promises!" Zack’s voice cracked through the comms: bright, boisterous, and entirely unfiltered. The young SOLDIER was bouncing on his heels in his dark blue 2nd Class uniform, already drawing his standard-issue broadsword. "Come on, Bianca! Show me what you've got!"
Bianca rolled her shoulders, her ornamental, black-and-indigo feathered wings shifting heavily against the back of her sleeveless red turtleneck.
Publicly, Shinra kept her bound to 2nd Class—a decorative "Angel" for the PR department—but in the privacy of the simulation, she moved like a shadow.
"Don't cry when you get tagged, Puppy," Bianca taunted, as her purple feline eyes flashed.
She lunged. Moving with terrifying, fluid speed, she bypassed Zack’s heavy overhead parry, ducked beneath his guard, and lunged inward. Instead of using Noctemaris’s edge, she grabbed the thick meat of his forearm and bit down. Hard.
"OW! Hey!" Zack yelped, nearly dropping his broadsword as he yanked his arm back, staring in utter disbelief at the fresh, red set of dental impressions indented directly into his blue sleeve. "What are you, a feral cat?! That's not in the manual!"
"It works, doesn't it?" she smirked, as she darted backward.
"Fascinating tactical evolution, Old Friend" Genesis chimed in over the internal frequency. His long red coat fluttered in the simulated alpine wind as he leaned casually against a virtual boulder. His silver dagger earring glinted under the artificial sun.
"A resort to animalistic savagery. How utterly uninspired. 'The goddess descends from the sky', yet you choose to fight like a stray pet."
"Shut up, Gen," Bianca retorted. She pivoted mid-stride. "You're next."
Before Genesis could recite another line of LOVELESS, Bianca crossed the distance, her thigh-high boots leaving shallow craters in the digitized rock. Genesis brought up his rapier to block, but Bianca didn't aim for his blade.
She ducked under his sweeping arm, slipped behind his metal shoulder pauldrons, and sank her sharp upper fangs straight into the thick curve of his left bicep.
Genesis stiffened, an indignant, high-pitched gasp breaking through his usually flawless, arrogant composure.
"You—you absolute gremlin! That is direct damage to my uniform!" He tried to shake her off, but Bianca held on like a tenacious kitten attached to a ball of yarn before letting go with a satisfied click of her teeth.
She dropped back onto her feet and wiping her lip with a gloved hand.
"That's two," she purred. Her prehensile tongue darted out playfully.
From the observation deck, Angeal’s voice came dryly over the headsets. "Bianca, stop trying to eat our friends. The telemetry data is reporting abnormal pressure points on their limbs."
"She’s out of control!" Zack complained, though he was grinning ear to ear, as he rubbed his forearm. "She's like a tiny, dangerous storm!"
"No," a deep, smooth voice cut through the comms. "She's just getting impatient."
The mountain environment flickered as Sephiroth stepped forward into the center of the ring. He was imposing, towering over her in his open black coat, leather suspenders crossed over his bare chest, and the seven-foot length of the Masamune held casually at his side.
His bright cyan, slit-pupiled eyes locked onto hers.
The atmosphere in the room shifted instantly. Where Zack brought warmth and Genesis brought grandstanding, Sephiroth brought an absolute, grounding gravity.
"Your turn, Silver," Bianca murmured. Her voice softened, losing its sharp edge but keeping all of its playful mischief.
"Try it," Sephiroth replied. The corner of his lips twitched into a barely perceptible, dry smirk.
Bianca exploded into motion. She didn't use her corrupted spatial magic. This was purely physical. She closed the gap in a fraction of a second. Her shape was a blur against the dark rocks. She feinted left, planted her boot against a virtual crag, and launched herself directly at his chest.
Sephiroth didn't even draw Masamune. With fluid, terrifyingly precise grace, he side-stepped her initial strike, caught her right wrist in a steel grip, and pivoted.
But Bianca used his momentum against him. She spun in mid-air, wrapped her legs around his waist over his dark trousers, and drove her face directly into the juncture of his neck and shoulder just before his pauldron started.
She bit down deep through the tough, stiff, heavy leather collar. Her sharp fangs caught the muscle of his neck through his skin.
Sephiroth didn't flinch, didn't yell, and didn't drop her. He simply stood there, absorbing the impact, feeling the familiar, sharp sting of her teeth. Through the delicate, glowing Red Thread of Fate wrapped invisibly around their wrists, a wave of familiar, chaotic warmth surged between them: her playfulness, her lingering trauma, her stubborn refusal to be broken by the corporate walls outside this room.
He knew why she did it. It was a physical anchor. It was a visceral reminder that despite the experiments, the Shinra logos, and the rigid classifications, they were real. They were alive.
Slowly, effortlessly, Sephiroth reached up with his free hand. His leather-clad fingers gently caught her black hair right behind her white ribbon, cradling the back of her head.
"Satisfied?" Sephiroth asked softly. His dry, low voice carried through the private proximity link rather than the main comms.
Bianca released her bite, leaving a distinct, reddening mark on his neck. She looked up at him, as a cat-like, cheshire grin slowly spreading across her face.
"Nearly," she whispered.
Reaching down with fingers, Bianca hooked them beneath the leather SOLDIER suspenders crossed over his bare chest, pulled them taut, and let them snap back against his skin with a sharp CRACK: leather snapping against flesh.
"Hey!" Zack roared over the comms, cracking up with laughter. "She got Sephiroth! She actually got him!"
Sephiroth didn't even blink, though the subtle warmth in his cyan eyes deepened as he gently set Bianca back down on her feet.
"Training session complete," Angeal announced from the control room. The flip phone closed with a soft click as he aborted the simulation.
