Lodgepole Pine
I've finally worked up the courage to start listing some of my handmade stuff online! If you've liked any of the jewellery I've posted on my blog, you may like some of my listings! <|:-)
I'm using poshmark, I've attempted other sites, but the format of poshmark is easier for me (and my devices) to keep track of.
I've been very inspired by "junk drawer jewellery", and more eclectic, mismatched, whimsical styles.
I've also been trying to give some of my unused craft supplies new life, and upcycle them into jewellery others might enjoy.
I definitely enjoyed making these pieces over time, and I'm pretty happy with how they all turned out!
Em is using Poshmark to sell items from their closet. Poshmark is a fun and simple way to buy and sell fashion. Shop from millions of peop
I try to price everything fairly, but I am definitely open to offers :) I do live in Canada, and that’s only where this website ships to unfortunately.
"I'm starting witchcraft, what do I need-"
I'm going to stop you right there, homie. You don't need anything. In fact, you'll probably regret getting everything now. You'll end up with so much you don't want.
Don't even get me started on those witchcraft "starter packs"
I began my practice with a single candle—just one. A white, three-wick Bath & Body Works candle I already owned. I learned the phases of the moon, traced sigils with quiet devotion, and stirred intention into my morning coffee. I printed my first tarot deck on plain paper.
Even now, I don’t have much. Another tarot deck, a handful of colored candles, but my magic still lives in my spice rack. I steep my water in the light of the moon and sun, letting nature do the work.
A cauldron is wonderful, but so is a simple pot. A tiny, ornate bottle of sage is lovely, but so is the sage tucked in your kitchen cabinet.
You already have everything you need for the craft. Even if all you have is yourself.

Good Practices for Grieving Witches
Grief sucks. It’s weird, it’s exhausting, and it never looks the way you expect. One minute, you’re crying into your tea, and the next, you’re furious at the universe. It could be anticipatory grief (I see you), grief over death, grief over a society we're losing, or anything else. Someone/something doesn't have to die for you to grieve. If you're a witch dealing with grief (or just a person, honestly), here are some things that might help:
🔮 For the “I have no energy” grief – Light a candle. That’s it. No elaborate rituals, no full moon graveyard walks. Just light a candle, maybe whisper their name, and let that be enough. If even that’s too much? Sleep. Spirits know how to wait.
🔥 For the “I’m so fucking mad” grief – Channel it. Burn shit (safely). Scream at the sky. Write down every angry thought, then tear it up or toss it into running water. Grief is messy, and magic doesn’t have to be polite.
🌿 For the “I just wanna feel close to them” grief – Make a little spot for them, if that feels right. A photo, a trinket, their favorite snack. Talk to them, even if it feels weird. Signs can be subtle, but sometimes they’re loud as hell.
🌊 For the “everything hurts and I need comfort” grief – Water is your best friend. Drink it, bathe in it, cry in it, leave an offering in it. Emotions move like water—let them flow instead of bottling them up.
Grief is a long, stupid road, but you’re walking it. However you get through it—whether you’re lighting a candle, throwing hands at the sky, or just taking a deep breath—it’s enough.
Some little things I've learned over a decade of witchcraft:
If you are feel called to work but are tired/drained, sit outside. Take in all the energies around you. Nature can help charge you
Every witch does a little bit of a bunch of types of magic but sticks mainly to one or two in general. You usually won't be eclectic forever. You'll find what magics work best with you.
Never be lazy or cut corners with spirits. Always be respectful and always tell them to leave when you're done
When you see a plant or ingredient with a long list of properties, there are different things at play. Season of collection, the part of the plant, the health of the plant, etc all play a role in impacting which properties it will carry.
Don't call on spirits unless you have confidence and control
Be careful with sea/water magic. Get into it gently and slowly until you have the energy figured out because it can get out of hand quickly.
Adding a little pinch of magic into your breakfast can make a major difference in your day.
Your personal emotions/feelings over something will impact a work
Planting some plants is good, not only to have a garden, but the dirt helps cleanse you too. Get all dirty and muddy. It's good for ya
Not all trees are nice
The more you listen to your intuition, the easier it will be to tell it apart from your anxieties and worries
Incense is very easy to make which is why it's usually cheap to buy. But you can find a million tutorials online on how to make your own personal incense which is great if you want a spell to take effect over a while but also want to infuse the fire energy in it.
The more you work with something the better feel you get for it. Cinnamon goes in almost everything i cook and most of my spells because me and cinnamon just get right along
Your path is yours and no one else's. It will look like yours and no one else's

A simple warding charm for my front door
After listening to @breelandwalker's podcast episode about home warding, I wanted to try out an idea I've had for a while about a warding charm for my front door using stinging nettle. Warding my whole house isn't something I have the energy for right now, but I enjoyed working this little spell to give myself a little peace of mind. Please listen to the episode if you haven't (Hex Positive, Ep. 024 - Warding A Witchy Home) because she goes into detail about what home wards can and can't do, how to work them, etc. All very good information!
Also please note that I don't have a lot of experience and I haven't tested this spell before, but I wanted to share it anyway and in the future I'll update the post with any insights or experiences that might come up.
For this spell I used: - a small drawstring bag (mine was crocheted by my grandmother some years ago) - dried stinging nettle - one clove of garlic
I started by gathering my materials, then centered and grounded myself. I cleansed the immediate space around me as well as the bag (lately I've enjoyed burning dried juniper for this purpose), then took a pinch of the dried nettles and held it in my hands, asking the plant to please assist me in protecting my home from anything or anyone seeking to cause harm, while allowing friends and family and anyone else who we invite or welcome to our house safe passage through the front door. I visualized a powerful patch of tall nettles growing in front of my house, around the door, and wrapping around the door handle. I also visualized any person or entity seeking to cause harm feeling prickles and itching upon approaching the house or touching the door handle, and them retreating from the house. Then I imagined the nettles drawing back and allowing friends and family to come to the door safely. I charged the nettles with this intention and placed them in the bag.
I did much the same thing with the garlic but the visualization that came to me was more like a glowing golden light encompassing the door. Then I also put the garlic into the bag, closed the bag, and held it in my hands while charging it with my intention more strongly, holding gratitude for the plants for assisting me in the working. I then hung the bag on a nail above my front door (on the inside), placed my hands on the door, and visualized the nettle patch and golden light one more time. To my surprise the imagined nettles kind of decided by themselves to grow all around my house and garden, even around my garden shed, though I didn't specifically ask them to, which to me was a lovely sign that the nettle spirit was eager to help me. These days I usually close my spells by saying "make it so" because I'm obsessed with Star Trek, then I reversed my grounding and centering.
Please let me know if you try it out! I haven't worked with nettles much in my magic so far, but I can't wait to get to know them more intimately as summer rolls around.
Home protection salt bowl 🏠
I made a home protection/energy cleansing salt bowl today. You can honestly swap out any of these ingredients if they do not suit your needs but this is what I used:
Sea salt- protection, purification
Peppermint- luck, abundance, happiness
Red pepper flakes- protection
Eggshell powder- protection
Cinnamon stick- abundance
Citrine- happiness
Black tourmaline - protection, negativity absorption
Selenite- negativity absorption
White tea light- cleansing energy
Superstitions!
The following list are some of the superstitions that I’ve heard or learned about over the years, in no particular order: • Throw rice in the air to make it rain • Carry a potato during winter to ward against colds • Smell dill to get rid of hiccups • Lay thorn branches by your doorstep to keep evil away • Place chips of cedarwood in a box with coins do draw money to you • Hang seaweed in the kitchen to ward off evil spirits • Burn allspice to draw money, luck, and healing • Place a piece of cotton in a sugar bowl to draw good luck to your home • Scatter chili flakes around your house to break a curse • Scatter salt/sugar to purify a room • Put a pine branch above your bed to ward off illness • Carry a chunk of dried pineapple to draw luck • Ask an orange a question before you eat it, then count the seeds. Even # = no. Odd # = yes • Toss oats outside your back door to ensure beautiful crops/plants • Place lilacs around the house to rid unwanted spirits • Add salt to bath for purification • Write your sigils on stones and carry them with you • Put sigils on medication bottles to help quicken their efficiency or for added healing benefits • When guests come over, light a white candle by the door; it will take their negative energy and purify the home. • To get rid of guests overstaying their welcome, turn any broom in your house upside down (bristles up) • Toss salt on the front porch every Friday for good luck and prosperity • Carry a blade of grass to increase psychic power • If something or someone is bugging you, write it on toilet paper, wipe, and flush it down the toilet
Very interesting! I’d also like to add a few that I grew up with:
• When taking off shoes, always make the toe face away from your bed (keeps away negativity)
• Elephants (statues, pots, etc) cleanse the energy of your home (make the butt face the door)
• If a guest is overstaying their welcome, go to an adjacent room and pat the wall three times (ideally with a broom) and they’ll say their goodbyes
• Cleaning your home just before a new year will bring luck and positive energy (especially if you also drink apple cider once the year turns over)
• Sunshine on a rainy day means a witch is getting married (yay!)
• Unexpected and sudden chills means a spirit has wandered by you
• Hanging dried peppers on a doorway will ease tension
• Carrying coins will bring good fortune
• Always toss the mop water outside (down the drain or into the toilet will only bring back the energy you just cleansed)
• Leaving offerings by the front door attracts, leaving offerings by the back door repels
• Mirrors reflect both our realm and the spirit realm
• A charred candle rim means there’s energy trapped in that space
• Opening doors / windows / entrances promotes energy flow (which isn’t particularly a good or bad thing, this can be used for a variety of purposes)
I likely have many more but this is all I can think of. So many of these were passed down through generations of witches in my family!
I love these additions! Thank you!

Witch things to add in your room, poor person edition
Fuck it Most of witchcraft people tell you to buy shit. So here's some stuff u can do for free
grab some sticks from the ground, bind them together in a shape you like, add intent (usually protection), hang it up
make a flower crown, add protection intent, dry it out, hang it up. protection spell and real ward. regularly recharge intent.
dry plants, set warding intent, hang them up.
crushed eggshells on your window sill to prevent bad energy.
wear a bandana or veil somewhere on your body, sometimes i use mine as belts, to protect from bad vibes.
paint your nails in the color meaning you want. mine are pink for self attraction rn
when you light up a candle always ask if theres a spirit or entity there, pyromancy skills can be learned through google, tumblr, and tiktok.
Regularly clean and rearrange your altar if you can't practice everyday, this keeos the space clean and shows entities around that even if ur not active, you're still a witch
A cup of water can be an offering to anyone, imagine being an entity and you can't have water at all for centuries??
If you have glasses, draw a sigil on them while you clean them (i usually wash mine with soap and water to make it extra clean ((and dry with paper towels)))
Give your wall art jobs. Sure they can be decorative, or they can be extra eyes to watch you while you sleep to make sure no one messes with you. (Ive had so much wall art fall in the middle of the night and turns out smth was trying to get in my room...)
If you have black-out/thick curtains, let the sun in!!! I keep them tied during the day so i can use natural light and ease up my electricity bill
Change ur bedsheets semi regularly, it doesn't need to be every week, but keep in mind bedbugs and other entities can get trapped there... or even try to get there to make your sleep unrestful.
If your room is a bio-hazard, at least make pathways so you can walk without injuring yourself.
Thats all i have for now <3 blessed be and fuck capitalism

I made a small demo for my game project Dragon Ocean, which you can download for free if you want. It's just a little place to walk around in right now, but I have plans for about 25-30 islands to visit in total when the game is finished. itchio link:
