In her unconscious state, Pandora had dreams of her mother full of nostalgia. Once she was woken up and realized that these were merely dreams, it was not nostalgia that filled her, but rather, sadness.
“Wha…” Pandora surveyed her surroundings and met eyes with the formally dressed woman with long ears in front of her. She had to say she appreciated the skull pendant and the bat adornment on the woman’s hat. It took her a moment to consider the pinkette’s words.
Although, she thought she left the apartment for her safety, she was realizing that this was perhaps not the brightest of ideas. Especially considering that she had just fallen asleep. The woman’s last words, however, confused Pandora. Did she perhaps mean because they were both women. Pandora would usually not consider herself equal to mortal women, but at that moment, she was.
She had often heard that it was unsafe for women to be alone in the dark, but never felt that it applied to her until that very moment. Her somber expression turned to one of fear. At least she wasn’t alone.
“What t-time is it?” Pandora asked, wishing she had never left home.
Once the silver-haired girl--or young woman, it was difficult to place an age on her-- came to, Dolce cleared her throat. She hadn’t thought this far. Her eyes were staggeringly violet-- even in the dark she could tell. Was she even human?
“It’s ... well, late-- almost half past midnight,” she said. Her gaze flicked to the side as she made sure there was no one in their periphery lurking nearby. Then she continued, “Do you-- erm, do you live nearby? You can’t stay here. Your temperature might drop even further.” She was only staying temporarily here in Arcadia, and her clinic was on Leuda, but she still was a healthcare worker regardless of territorial boundaries. Now, if the girl had nowhere in the vicinity to go to-- that would be another problem. The inn that Dolce was staying in was considerably close, but...
