Big continued fighting the fish. It had been at least 10 minutes. Reeling it in and then letting out slack was beginning to wear out the huge cat. Not to mention the frustration of having to let it run for a while. This thing wasn’t slowing down at all.

Finally, Big had reeled it close to the dock he and Amy were on. He could almost see the fish’s huge body in the water as he kept a tight grip on his trusty fishing rod. This fish was as good as landed. After a few more minutes, he caught a glimpse of the fish. Something was very wrong. He didn’t recognize what kind it was and he’d seen ‘em all.

“Something’s wrong with this fish, Amy. You better stand back.”, he said as he stood up from his spot and reeled a little faster..

❝ Something’s wrong with it?! Whatt’ya mean--- ❞

Yeah. Okay, she wasn’t gonna finish that question because she was already backing up quite a ways the moment she felt the dock vibrate a bit. She couldn’t help but instinctively summon her piko hammer, just in case. She was not about to be shark lunch today, or whatever kind of lunch this thing was after. No sir-ee!
