I'm so sick 😭
Peoples perception of faces are so warped. Every time I see one of those "feature appreciation" or "what kind of face do you have" slideshows they don't show half of the features accurately. People do this with lips a lot. I'll literally see lips with lip filler in compilations and I'm just like??? They're moderate just with a pronounced cupid's bow. People are so used to the extreme.
Jawlines, they almost NEVER show soft jawlines, only softer in comparison to sharper ones. Yes, the lips could be bigger, the jaw could be sharper, but that doesn't change the fact that they just aren't what we say they are.
People can't make genuine "appreciation" posts because they haven't actually accepted the features they're trying to spread positivity for. The ACTUAL photos of these features would be too far for them so they just post the less extreme version of existing beauty standards.
We are SO used to editing, filler, filters that we do not know what people look like anymore.
Those videos where women in their early twenties show their skin in the sun with no filter. No wrinkles, just the occasional patch of acne and pores and they get TORN apart, mostly by other women. "You look 63" no you just haven't seen a woman without a filter in 5 years.
