the most heartbreaking thing is that I think Will feels the electricity between him and Mike, because there's always something unspoken between them (even if Mike hasn't realized consciously imo there's just that feeling of love there between them) and I think this makes him feel even more like he's losing his mind about Mike and he goes back and forth in his own mind... from "what if he's like me, he always understands me, what if he does this time too. I thought we had a moment..." to "I have to stop doing this to myself, he loves Eleven. He's normal. He's not weird like me, he's not a freak like me. He just loves me as a friend and it's okay, I'm okay with it, I will be okay with it because I don't want to lose him."

He dreams about it and then tells himself he's being stupid and delusional and someone like him will never have that type of love that everyone around him managed to find, and in particular he will never have that with Mike... he tells himself that he just has to accept it and move on somehow... but he just can't manage to because it's Mike and he loves him too much and he's sure he'll never stop loving him no matter how Mike feels...
