something i really like about lou's unification chapters that i don't think i mentioned before is just how easy it is to read the character as having a dissociative disorder now, specifically DID

notice how she doesn't interpret what happened to her as a simple change in behavior that she managed to brush off post unbrainwashing, but mentally pictures herself as three different people

aside from this, the chapter also talks about a memory that she had forgotten, but that she can access via connecting with the other lous

it's not lost to me how this page is framed as if she's waking up, and when she does that the dialogue bubble is in a different font

after this, lou's characterization changes and becomes very unlike her initial self. to put it in her own words, they seem like different people. this new characterization is carried over to way after their unification arc

given she says the three lous are now connected, it makes sense that the behavior we'd see would change

now cults work a lot with dissociation, and while that doesn't cause a disorder in everyone who falls victim to one, if lou already entered the manor with a dissociative disorder that started developing prior, it would certainly explain why out of the main five living dolls she's the one who changed the most from her pre selection self

Barbara - the Blue Rose

Blue rose has been a fragmentation of the wishful, imaginative and free pieces of mind.

Blue roses are often used to symbolize mystery or attaining the impossible.

There are many meanings and symbols attached to roses. Each color signifies a meaning of emotion or love. The blue rose signifies True love, associated with the unattainable. A blue rose can mean unreachable or unrequited love. And there are some cultures who associate the blue rose with royal blood; regal majesty and splendor.

Given the fact that the blue rose is a result of fabrication, and not a true product of nature, it may also signify the power of being manipulative, though the true meaning is usually linked to something impossible to reach.

"The meaning of the blue rose could also be in sync with the quote which goes, “some doors should never be opened.”
