this season has been so nothingburguer 😭 there's no tension, several characters are being underdeveloped: mckay had a shitty storyline about going on a date after the shift and that's it , whitaker had 0 development this entire season and it's just there to support other characters, we barely see mel and mohan is leaving the show without a proper storyline and we're also not seeing enough of javadi. ofc the show is not only about the doctors, but season one made all of them have their own plot and storyline and all of the storylines kinda made sense with each other and complemented each other in a way, but the storylines now just feel vague and disconnected. also, even if it's not about the doctors, the medicine aspect of the show is being so meh this season, the patients are not nearly as interesting as they were in season 1. the only good storylines are santos and robby's plot and I also feel like they are not going anywhere with these plots this season, which wouldn't be a problem because development takes time, but it's a problem if there is no other interesting plots happening 😭 the season will end with no sense of closure i think. even langdon's storyline, which was one of the most interesting plots last season, is not that interesting in s2.
idk if the writers needed more time to write the script and one season per year is not a good idea after all or if the format of the show doesn't work for a not limited series, but I'm disappointed.
