So I feel like not many people talk about how much patience and forgiveness Aphmau has. Garroth, her second-in-command, the person who's been in the village longer than her, the same person who went there for shelter, betrayed her. He not only turned his back on the village, but he also sided with Zane. A man whose crimes were a mile long. Aphmau, while she has kept some secrets from him, which were to protect him in the end, has told him so much. The one time she didn't tell him stuff about the village was towards the end. Keep in mind, it was because he was already acting weird. And the topic was about an amulet that turned a child into a Shadow Knight, so, of course, she turned to the literary Shadow Knight.
And after all of that, he made her miss 15 YEARS of her sons' lives. And I'm not even going to mention the love thing, where she's treated like a prize rather than a person.
And after all of the HE'S STILL HER RIGHT HAND MAN. It's nonsense. When other characters like Michi have done less than that. She was ready to kill her. I can get her to be a good person, and want Garroth out of the Irene realm. Because being stuck in the Irene realm with Zane locked in combat sucks. But the rush she was in, and the level of forgiveness she gives him, is insane. I can chalk some of it off with the loss of Aaron, but even after 3 three years. He is still her right-hand man, best friend, and is trusted enough to be an uncle, or, depending on your ships, a dad, to her children. It's madness.
And we still have people like Laurance, who, after turning his back on the group twice, Aphamu still wants in the group. And Brian, who doesn't even get a mention. Dude, let's look at the opposing forces in the war they were in. Donna talks about it after the battle. And yet, in season 2, nothing. Not even a passing remark.
I'd like people to discuss this. Have my boy Yip talk about it. He has lost Aphmau for 15 years, since he was a child. The woman who let him into her village. And nothing. Levin and Malachi, her sons who lost a mother, don't talk about it. No rage.
If Aphmau were real, and her actions were known. I can bet psychologists and philosophers would be drooling at the chance to evaluate her mind.
