i’m in love with peter pan.
you forgot my favorite one
Ah, damnit Internet, you made me cry before breakfast.
Now I want to be Peter Pan when I grow up. Which is confusing on multiple levels…
I love him so.
CRYING
“that’ll take you somewhere weird” bless him
I don’t think I’ve ever not reblogged this when I saw it on my dash tbh…
well damn…or just anxiety
Accurate
This explains so much— Holy—
It’s just so true…
True…
Nothing is more relatable……
Mine gave me both

TEAM FREE WILL 2.0 FIRST AND LAST WORDS
Ive been researching motivation and turns out there's decades worth of research saying extrinsic motivation (work for rewards) doesnt work in the long term and actively murders your intrinsic motivation (work enjoyable bc u like it) in a task, and that for creative tasks it's got a specially bad effect so like... now i get what people mean on the write for yourself front, setting yourself doable challenges and enjoying the task itself seems to be what builds up long lasting motivation
That’s exactly what it’s all about.
The problem with the phrase “write for yourself” is that it’s shorthand for so much more than that.
write to amuse yourself, because you are your own best audience
write to soothe yourself by giving a character the chance to do or experience something that you’re missing in your own life
write to excite yourself - have a thrilling adventure or kinky sex. Be a hero. be a villain. All from the safety of your home.
write to express yourself, slowly and with the ability to think about which are the right words
write to improve yourself by experimenting with genres or learning new techniques - or just getting better at grammar or spelling or upping your typing speed
write to indulge yourself in exactly the kind of story you wish existed in the world, with all of your favourite characters doing all of your favourite things
write to challenge yourself with a new word count or by writing every day or by finishing a story with 30+ chapters
Write because you love to write and keep writing, even if no one else cares. Because you care, and you’re the most important person you know.
I was thinking about this recently, and I realised that for me, the core thing that keeps me writing is because it means I get to spend time with these characters.
Like, yeah I could just watch the show. But if I write something then it’s a new situation, it’s a fun situation or a conversation they never had in canon or they’re meeting someone they never would have met or whatever.
Essentially it’s just more of them. And actually, while it’s obviously lovely if that results in a great fic that gets loads of kudos and amazing comments, realistically that isn’t always possible (or isn’t something I can control) - but spending time with my fav characters and in my fav world is.
this is basically what keeps me writing. which is not to say that i don’t think things like “oh, x will like this story” or something like that. i definitely do. at the end of the day, though, i’m the audience i want to make happy - or sad, in some cases.
and my interest wanders, which is why i’ll just… write a random story sometimes.
look, external validation is really nice! i fuckin love that shit! don’t get me wrong. but at the beginning of a story the only audience is me and i have to keep myself interested enough for there to be an end to the story
Dear OCTOBER, please play nice.
SPOOKY TIME
Spooky season will hopefully be nice. Please don’t be a cold Halloween. I already layer up enough
Bruce Lee plays ping pong with nunchucks like a boss
this is that shit you reblog every single time you see it on your dash. this man is a beast.
HOLY SHIT, IT WAS THE ORIGINAL ONE

i wanna wish you a merry chrimmus i wanna wish you a merry chrismun i wanna wish you a merry crisis i wanna wish you a merry chrysler from the bottom of my heart
I'm still lowkey annoyed by some of the live action critics who were "the fans of the cartoon who didn't like the movie clearly just had their nostalgia goggles on" like avatar was a show that ended more than a decade before the movie came out, and not something that ended only TWO YEARS BEFORE THE CAME OUT. Nostalgia goggles my ass. Hopefully, the new series can correct this injustice.
a lot of people think atla fans over exaggerate when they say that the live action one of the worst blockbusters ever made, but that 3% on rotten tomatoes is there for a reason... just saying
The sound my stupid cat makes when I move him from his favourite spot (on top of my jackets)
what kind of camera are you using this is like movie quality god damn
HE SOUNDS SO SAD PUT hIM BACK

Extrovert vs. Introvert There is this common misconception about the natural behaviour of extroverts and introverts; extroverts are often times characterized as being lively and talkative, while introverts are naturally quiet and withdrawn.
This isn’t true. It’s correct that when you meet someone shy and quiet they will more likely be and introvert than an extrovert; however, this doesn’t mean that introverts are naturally shy, or that shy people always have to be introverts. On the contrary, introverts can be very talkative and discuss for hours on end about topics that interest them.
The actual definition of an Introvert is someone who draws energy from being alone with their thoughts, while Extroverts draw their energy from being with others.
Introverts are people can who draw energy from being alone with their thoughts. They enjoy, and sometimes even need, a deep conversation with people they trust; they don’t like small talk, or rather often don’t see the point in it. But after a while they will feel the need to be alone again, to recharge and sort out things on their own.
Extroverts on the other hand, are people who draw their energy from being with others. They can enjoy being alone with their ideas and dreams just as an introverts can enjoy being around people, yet after a while they will feel the need to interact with others to fill up their energy.
CORRECT.
