Book Rating: 5/5😍😍 It took me two weeks to finish this book, probably because of school. But now that I have a lot of time to spend reading, I finished it this morning, omg! Am I the only one who wished Samirah ends up with Magnus at the first book and then quickly shifts away to Alex in the second book? That moment when Magnus reacted to Alex wearing a wedding dress? So unforgettable! lol This book is full of adventures, not just ordinary, but the unexpected and intriguing ones. The best adventure for me is when Magnus and Hearthstone together with the ice frozen Blitz went to the treacherous mansion and father of Hearth. It broke my heart, the way Hearth was treated when he was a child. It's probably the most heart-breaking but the most anticipating part of the book. Being blinded by wealth is your worst enemy these days. Who wouldn't love Alex? She/He is smart, funny, sarcastic, pottery artist, ambitious, quite friendly, a great actress, and many more! She/He is the best thing that has ever happened in this book. lmao Why do I feel like most of the Norse gods are dumb? I haven't seen anyone decent til now, unlike with the Greek gods. I absolutely hate Thor with his extremely lack of a brain. Poor Mjolnir! Probably the most intimidating Norse god would be Loki because he portrays the perfect attitude I want in a villain. I am so excited for the next book!

Book Rating: 5/5😍😍😍 At first, I didn't know much about Norse mythology. I only know Thor and Loki or the giant Utgard Loki from our past lesson on Grade 10. I even searched more about it on YouTube before reading and it didn't do me good actually. This book makes the Norse Mythology more comprehensible and engaging. Although most names or terms were difficult to pronounce, it doesn't affect the book at all. I love how Norse mythology is so unique and fun to unravel. I must say, I love Magnus but still not as much as Percy Jackson. He's incomparable! But Magnus is one heck of a joker! I love him and his witty ideas and humor especially how his crew, Samirah, Blitzen and Hearth blend with his weird jokes. They're just so perfect with each other omg! The diversion between the characteristics of the main characters are like a first time to me. Each of them are so weird in a good way, like how Samirah wears Hajib and a Muslim (which is very uncommon on books nowadays). Gosh, I love her so much! I even thought of her and Magnus as a thing but that's never gonna happen. I know it because I spoiled myself. AGAIN. Samirah's attitude is kinda still a mystery to me. She's not showy and she's a bit of a tsundere person but that's what makes her bad-ass and inspirational. She's too serious sometimes but her humor really hits you hard when she joke. However, let's talk about Hearth. Probably my most favorite character in this book, aside Magnus Chase of course, is Hearth. Hearth showed a lot of bravery and loyalty to his friends. I just can't see how their crew would function without him. The characteristics I want for a character are all on him. He risked his life several times and what really struck my heart and got me teary-eyed is his family history. I hate it that his family didn't know his worth and talent. I just badly want to strangle his parents so much! I'm so in love with his character, I just can't think straight! And lastly, the nice and fashionable Blitzen, the son of Freya. This dwarf's humor really never fail to make me laugh. I love it that he is so caring. I totally relate with his lack of confidence on doing things because he thought someone's way better than him. That's how the world works nowadays and I'm one of them to be really honest. The plot is in a whole new level! Riordan has done a great job again! I love the weirdness of the group and how they beat up the odds with humor and wits. The deaths of the three Valkyries, including Gunilla, really surprised me a lot. I imagined her being friends with Magnus just like how Clarisse on Percy Jackson series is. And I got disappointed when it was not really gonna be like that. It was so sad I got teary-eyed again when the swan boat was burned for the funeral. I really despise sacrifices! Ugh Anyways, I can't wait to continue on the next book! Book Rating: 5/5💖 Without Merit is an amazing book especially for teenagers out there! Merit exhibits all possible attitudes and hardships of a teenager and she perfectly depicts the depression that are most common nowadays. This is my first time reading Colleen Hoover's works and it is the best thing ever! I cried for three times, I think. No wonder Hoover is one of the best YA authors out there. So, the characters in this book shows different problems that we are facing right now. One of that is keeping secrets that is not healthy especially when it is a source of misunderstanding. The story perfectly resolved this issues of the Voss family and Merit has finally realized that she got depression. Depression comes quietly that many people today don't realize that they have it. All of us should be aware of depression and at the same time having proper counseling or therapy to cure it. The idea of Sagan was so great though! I was a little pissed about Merit's reaction to that but finally she realized it at the end. I love the squad bonding with Merit, Honor, Utah, Sagan and Luck. They are so so cute together! The issues regarding their parents were solved too and I have my fair share of pity to Barnaby. I understand the situation of their mother and I no longer hate Victoria. I just wish I can see her reaction to what Moby named with their two puppies. So hilarious! This is a fast-read and so engaging book. It will leave you sitting for one place and actually finish it without stopping. I'm going to read Hoover's works more starting now! 😄 #withoutmerit #colleenhoover #merit

Damn! This book gave me lots of emotions, mostly happiness. My feeling is like that of when I listened to a really really good and inspirational song. It's that good! The utopia feeling still lingers in my heart and I guess it wouldn't leave for a long time. Simon is such a great character to begin with! Following his point of view is so easy and funny. Leah warms my heart, Nick makes me feel special, Abby changes my stereotype feeling about girls covered in makeups and most importantly, Bram brings me bliss. I'm never been happier for a character this much! Gosh, this is the book that will make you sit all day without doing anything but imagining the whole image of the story. I'm so immersed even though we had a lot to do this week. I'm so excited with the film and so far, I love the trailer and the casts so much!

Book Rating: 4/5 The first book I've read this year and had left me to three major crying states. Usually I would argue that there's nothing really special or original about this book and that I should rate it with 3 stars to be fair but I guess this is an exception. The characters are made vivid and realistic as well as the settings. The overall writing style is so easy to be immersed into and the story is relevant to our society nowadays. Humanity has been failing to realize the value of life. It's making me sad how they easily give up and end their future ahead. This book carefully tackles the issue of suicide and although some might argue that the story is cliche and all that reasons, it only tells the truth of the society. Yup it's a fiction book but nobody can prove that it will only stay on the fiction side because it happens on the real world. It's just so realistic that I once wondered that maybe it's a true to life story. But it was not. Revenge had been one of the things that was emphasized here. Nothing would take back what just happened. Live in the present and move on. Emotions might cloud our judgements but remember that there are always people around us caring. I felt so bad for Sam that I woke up with my puffy eyes that Friday morning. It's worth it though, I can't argue with that. The first time I've encountered Astrid, I knew she was the one behind those horrible physical revenge on Jayson and Trevor and that Jayson was once in a relationship with Eric. That's how obvious the book is in the first place but still, some of it surprised me a bit. Like Ryan was Astrid's ex, Jess is another person to blame on Hayden's death and Ryan's sudden confession. It's another book that has understandable villain or let's just say 'antagonist' (to be less evil, I guess). They have reasons too and that triggers their lack of sympathy, which eventually turns them as the bad guys. Finally, the ending is just right. It's just the nice way of ending the book. Happy endings don't matter if we're going to be travelling into this kind of genre about suicide and deaths. This, totally, is a must-read for teenagers struggling in their lives today. Grab the book, buckle up and enjoy the ride!

Book Rating: 5/5 I finished The House of Hades a month and a half from now. It's weird that I'm not that disappointed about having to prioritize other books than continuing to this last book. It's that boring for me. BUT! I would not erase the fact that this book is wonderfully made so I gave it 5 stars. I realized that the problem is me and not the book. I love it! The book has perfectly changed hatred to love, and enemies to friends! It's just the perfect book for me. **Spoiler Alert** I love Nico Di Angelo. He made me surprised, shocked, and happy. I love how he changed throughout the book and finally met Will Solace at the end. I wonder how they will develop as a couple someday. (If😂) The division for point of views are at first irritating but I learned to adopt it. It's exciting how the end falls on Leo's landing on Ogygia! It's adorable. (Though to be honest, I spoiled myself on this one. I purposely looked at the ending after finishing The House of Hades, kill me now!😂) But all in all, I love also how the Roman and Greeks united as friends. I got thrilled by the sudden team up of Gods and their respective children alongside them. It's so heart-warming! I seriously forgot the first part of the book but I assure all of you that this book is the perfect conclusion for the series. The fighting might not be enough for most of the readers but for me, it's just right. LEO, THE 7TH WHEEL, IS THE SAVIOR! HE'S THE MAN! 😍

My first book review would be, tentenenen... ONE OF US IS LYING! 

I just want to clear something, my reviews aren’t professional and they are pure language of a teenager. Some might be rubbish but I assure you that they are made purely from my genuine heart and mind. AND MY BOOK REVIEWS ARE CONTENTS OF MAJOR SPOILERS! 

For those of you who haven’t read One of Us is Lying yet, I would provide my own quick synopsis of this.

In Bayview High, there are five students who got detention that day; a jock, nerd, criminal, princess and annoying gossiper. So all of them got into detention that they said they didn’t deserve and then, in the same day, someone died. The other four students are now faced with several accusations of killing that one student. 

The book was a fast-read and thrilling! I recommend this to all. Just don’t be discouraged to some booktubers who claim that this is rubbish. Know that I love this so you should continue! Grab a copy now and come back after you finished reading.

HELLO SPOILERY PEOPLE! YOU READ IT DON’T YOU? GREAT! HERE’S MY FULL FUCKING REACTIONS ABOUT IT! <3 

Woaaaaaaaah! Oh my gosh! I found another fantastic debut novel this year! 😍 I wasn't planning to read this at all. I'm still not over with that last series I read (To All the Boys I've Loved Before) so I kinda feel reluctant about reading a whole lot different genre this time. But thank heavens, I finally got out of that book slump and it's totally worth it! I am so enthralled by the story! It was so unexpected! (or maybe just for me) Honestly, I'm not like a detective kind of reader. I don't pause and think so hard about what's going to happen next or who's the real killer here so that's maybe why I got surprised about the sudden turn of events. I never looked at that side. I didn't think that there's no actual killer and that it's suicide. After coming in terms with the ending, I noticed that the title is kind of misleading. It should be like, "all of us are lying" or "we are liars". Because one, all four of them lied. The geek cheated on chemistry, the jock turns out to be gay, the criminal lies about his mother being dead and the princess cheated at her control freak son of a bitch boyfriend. Two, the cover is so misleading. Reader would assume that one of the four people on the cover killed Simon but turns out that it's actually a witty suicide plan where their lives are drastically ruined. The good thing about this book is that it totally leaves you hanging like, " WHAT. THE. HECK. DID. JUST. HAPPEN?" I felt this when Cooper visits his boyfriend, Kris, Addy cuts her hair, Bronwyn and Nate's romances and Jake pounding Addy's head on a stone. Literally all the events would left you hanging for a minute, that's how good it is. I love the characters so much and I have to say that I suspected Cooper mostly. Nevertheless, I love it that he's gay (weird, I guess) and that he finishes the blow on Jake's face that night. I was also surprised at how Addy changed from damsel in distress to a goth-like badass woman. I won't forget how I felt anxious when she ran into the woods with wild Jake after her. I'm just glad that she changed a lot and saved the day! Now let's talk about my two favorite characters of all! Bronwyn kinda reminds me of me, striving to be good at academics and such. Reading her point of view is my most favorite part of the book aside from Nate. She's this cunning character that I really want so bad in a story. She likes to know things in her own way and I love it. Now my another favorite person in this book is Nate. Just think about his aura. It speaks, "DEVILISH HANDSOME". He's just the right guy for Bronwyn. I love their chemistry and awkwardness! Shocked was not enough to describe how I felt when he got arrested so suddenly. He's even cute even when he accused himself of not being useful on the case, compared to the other three. The connection between the suspects and plotting of the so-called, "Ruining lives plan" are flawless and engaging! They are wonderfully made to shock readers at its best. I'll definitely wait for Karen McManus' work in the future. The best! 🙆(less) flagcomment · see review
