i think one of the biggest problems i have with getting stuff done is i assume it’s easy for other people. like “she gets up at six every morning because she’s a morning person” or “yeah, he can run five miles every day but he likes running” or “she knows five languages, her brains just wired differently than mine” when in reality it’s all about discipline for everyone. like yeah, some people have natural aptitudes for some things but anyone that’s accomplishing anything is putting in the work. achievements don’t come easy, and i think if i start acknowledging that it’s like that for everyone i can stop making excuses

When she spoke, it was as if the entire world quieted, as if rivers stopped rushing and the wind stopped blowing. It was like god himself shushed the heavens so that they could hear every syllable she uttered. When she walked, her footsteps were bathed in a golden light sent from the sun and a gentle breeze ruffled her hair and made her more beautiful. The sky opened up and forged a path just for her benevolent feet. When she laughed, the earth stood in anticipation for the sound that escaped her lips. It was a marvelous tune. She laughed, and the entire planet stood in awe. When she loved, she loved with her entire being. Her mind, body, soul, heart. She poured every bit of her stardust into the one worthy of her affection. She blessed them, she bestowed upon them a beautiful curse, a wonderful omen. And when she broke them, she did it with a swift move of her hand, a flawless motion of hate. She did it secretely, in the dead of night. Beautifully, in the light of day.
