   “I have no idea what that is.” There were so many new trends and dispite living with five children, it all went over Rosalind’s head. “I think I may be a little too old for that if there’s only fifteen people over twenty.” The woman chuckled.

“Gloss and lipstick from Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty…” he drawled. Ayrton had just received a text from his little sister telling him what she wanted as a gift for her birthday and judging by the look of confusion that crossed his face, it definitely wasn’t what he expected. “Kids these days…” he sighed “When I was thirteen little girls didn’t wear make up. I’m not that old, am I?”

Rosalind let out a chuckle. “Tell me about it, I have five and I’ve stopped trying to keep up.“ Their household was a busy one but she didn’t want it any other way. “I certainly wasn’t wearing make up at that age. I blame the internet, they’re exposed to this whole other world online, on social media and not only is it fictitious, it can be harmful.” It would always be the source of contention in her household but Ros knew when to pick her battles and fighting with her daughter over whether she could wear lipstick to school wasn’t worth the discussion. “I feel old so I hope you’re not.”

“Okay, so not that making coffee is the most difficult job in the world but, is it so difficult to be nice to the person who makes your drink?” Ellie let out a sigh, clearly annoyed over the day she just had. “Maybe I’m the one out of line here, but I swear sometimes customer service jobs are literally the worst.”

Rosalind still didn’t understand the point of being rude when ordering a coffee but she wasn’t blind to the fact that the world ws full of entitled people who felt like the rest owed them something. “You definitely have a point. I wouldn’t expect someone to ask me to do something in the office and them proceed to throw insults my way.” It had happened to her when she had first started out in the law industry but now she was at the top of the cain, things were a lot easier. “I’ve seen it with my own eyes. All they have to do is order coffee. It doesn’t need to be as complicated as they make it, nor do they have to try bring you down in the process.”

“So my parents would be funny to have me host a dinner party and cook everything by hand when they know I’m just straight up hopeless in that department..” she sighed. “I need help and a lot of it… I don’t even know where to begin! Should I just order something and pretend I cooked it or is that too sad?”

Rosalind would be lying to herself if she didn’t find the whole situation amusing, cruel too, but still amusing. “What on earth must you have done for your parents to punish you that much?” Shaking her head, Ros sighed. Although she didn’t mind trying to cook, her wife was usually the one making dinner for all of them in their household. “How about you do something in a slow cooker and test it beforehand. All you would need to do is prepare something, set a timer and you’re done.” Granted, she had done it a few times when she took it upon herself for it to be her turn; no one had ever complained.
