“Ooh, not really. I’m used to it by now, actually.”
“Yep! I haven’t met anyone who does and isn’t a child of Hades. Mm, my family was with me and I’m not sure if my friends know I’m here.” She stuck out a hand. “ ‘m Rosie, by the way.”
Rosie sat with her legs hanging over the pier. Being down there against her will left her with a sour taste in her mouth, so to speak. “As much as I love the Underworld, I’ve never been happier to be back.”
“It’s us, if it goes wrong then we’ll figure out something else.”
"As scary as you are, that might not work." Rosie said with her lips flattened. "We might have to count on Persephone feeling nice today."
Rosie has only ever seen Persephone very few times, a few respectful hellos and that’s it. There may be goddesses who are nice to their husband’s children, but Persephone isn’t one of them. “That’s fine, we’ll talk to her. But what if she’s not here? Then what do we do?”
“Of course I am.” Rosie grinned up at Nico. “Is she really a big fan of any of us? We might as well just try.”
“It is adorable.” Rosie leaned up and over a bit to gently pet the ferret. “Now that not splitting up is decided, what do we do?”
“I agree. Splitting up sounds bad, I don’t want to find that out.” She shifted her weight between her feet. “I know that dad isn’t winning any father of the year awards, but wouldn’t he give us some kind of explanation?”
“Someone’s bound to start looking eventually. You know, it really says something about our lives when Nico petting a dead ferret is one of the least weird thing I’ve ever seen.” Rosie said with a laugh in her voice before she looked at Irina. “You don’t have to go alone, I can go with you.”
After a while, Rosie felt more at home in the Underworld than at camp. But, being here and not knowing why made her a bit edgy and admittedly mad. As Irina spoke, she nodded and draped an arm over Liv’s shoulders. “Irina’s right, we leave and come back all the time. But, have we ever been gone at the same time?”

{TXT: Nico}: There’s a bird in our cabin and I feel like you know why it’s there.
“Something’s obviously going on that he doesn’t want to tell us about.” Rosie walked up next to Liv, her arms crossed and an uncharacteristically mad look on her face. “I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t feel like waiting around.”
You’ll know your English is really good when people you meet stop saying that your English is really good.
She chuckled before saying, “I’m scared to go in because of the horror stories I hear. But I do think you’re the only Hermes kid I’ve ever met, so maybe it’s not true.”
Rosie laughed and replied, “No, it’s basically like any other cabin. Is cabin eleven as disgusting and messy as people say?”
“I’m from cabin 13, what about you?”
