Dumfries House in Ayrshire, Scotland. The house is a Category A listed building, described by Historic Scotland as “an exceptionally fine and unspoilt Adam mansion.” Although local craftsmen contributed to furnishing the house, the main public rooms were outfitted with pieces made by Thomas Chippendale himself.  The house was restored largely due to a personal push by Prince Charles and was reopened to the public in 2008.
