be healthily sensitive. tell them you're hurt when you're hurt. describe what hurt you. no silent treatment and passive aggressiveness. be honest. don't compromise your emotion. don't bottle it up. weigh the issue. understand and maybe, forgive.
“doing your best” equals trying as hard as you can considering your situation. you can do as well as you’re able to manage and not reach your goal, and it won’t mean you haven’t tried hard enough. it just means you have to give yourself a break to better yourself or your circumstances before trying again. next time you hear the words “do your best”, it should urge you to consider your capabilities instead of the best possible outcome ever. your best, regardless of what it leads to, is good enough.
you are loved. on quiet days that feel meaningless, during long nights when loneliness consumes you, when you’re reminiscing and grieving the past, on good days that feel like warmth and light, always remember that you are loved.

“She did not need much, wanted very little. A kind word, sincerity, fresh air, clean water, a garden, kisses, books to read, sheltering arms, a cozy bed, and to love and be loved in return.” Starra Neely Blade
high standards are pure. protection from unhappiness. nothing wrong with wanting best for yourself.
