Unwind headcanons (kind of??)
*possible trigger warning*
okay, we know there are loads of children who escaped unwinding, but what about the others?
-were curious and asked their parents to sign
-didnโt feel like living anymore but were too scared to just die, so they signed it themselves
-were never meant to get unwound, it was an actual accident, it was delivered by mistake
-were too cocky and their parents signed on the spur of the moment, to spite them
-were going to kill themselves but their parents convinced them to unwind instead
-(alternatively: killed themselves instead of unwinding)
-went for their friends, loyal to the end
-honestly were relived when they found out their parents signed, they couldnt see a future for themselves
-didnt unwind, and regret it
-found out they are to be unwound, and made it their job to cause as much chaos as possible before they went
-stress, theyve got too many half finished things to complete
-made it their job to mark every body parts with tattoos and drawings
-tried to find a way to maybe reconnect their pieces
-were too scared to run away
-didnt care at all, so what, they wont be in this body any longer
-wrote wish lists to where their parts would go, and comparing it to their friends
-went online to try to find fellow to-be unwinds
-were 17 and debating on signing up for unwinding, but then the new law passed
-wrote a will, like they would if they had died
-left a legit scavenger hunt for their friends to complete, about their life
-were heartbroken when they found out, last second, what their parents did
-were part of a large family thatย votedย them to be the one to get unwound
-wrote letters to their future self, which their future self would never read
-thought that their parents could cancel and tried their hardest to prove it was worth letting them live, before they found out
-lost every friend to the unwinding process, and grew to hate it
