Let's do a weird headcanon thing
What they smell like:
Miriel usually has like a naturally sweet smell i think, if she doesn’t smell like whatever chemical she’s been working with. I’d chalk that up to her super excessive hygiene, she probably uses like vanilla soaps or something i don’t know
How they sleep (sleeping position, schedule, etc):
Miriel usually sleeps on her side, curled up in a ball. She usually finds herself hugging a pillow if she’s not sleeping with somebody, but if she is, she’s a cuddler so she’ll usually sleep with an arm around them. She also has a habit of getting really hot or really cold while she sleeps so she’ll periodically either throw the covers off or pull them back over her a few times through the night.
What music they enjoy:
Regular!Miriel would really enjoy like classical violin and a lot of the more fancy music, but she also finds a lot of value in strictly cultural music like the tavern music Sully enjoys or the campfire songs some of them sing just to pass the time. She’s really open to the idea of music. I also think Modern!Miriel would be kind of the same thing in that she’s open to a lot of different styles, but I think her favorite artists would probably be people like Natalie Merchant, Dar Williams, Missy Higgins, Marie Digby, or Gabrielle Aplin. Like a lot of really mellow folksy singer-songwriter types.
How much time do they spend getting ready every morning:
She spends about an hour or an hour and a half getting ready, most of that time being spent doing her hair and washing up. If she’s not crunched for time she’ll iron her robes before wearing them each day.
Their favorite thing to collect:
Books, obviously.
Left or right-handed:
Right-handed.
Religion (if any):
Miriel is fascinated by the idea of religion, but it’s one of the only things she’s content in not knowing. She feels as though picking one thing to believe in is too risky and since there is no concrete proof, she’ll just sit there and not know. Plus, that and the fact that she feels as though actually knowing what happens when you die is where the line is drawn between curiosity and knowing far too much.
Favorite sport:
Pool and baseball because she finds both fascinating insofar as physics and surprisingly she’s really good at both because calculus and physics equations come so easily to her.
Favorite touristy thing to do when traveling:
She quite enjoys observing the culture and hearing stories from their traditions, and of course, sampling the food.
Favorite kind of weather:
Heavy rain, because it allows her alone time to sit inside and read.
Weird/obscure fear:
Like I said above, she believes there is a line to be drawn as to where she will be willing to investigate. Her biggest fear is unlocking a secret of the universe that terrifies her, that she will one day know too much and it will cause her to lose her lust for knowledge, and that the knowledge she gains is something horrific that she would rather not have known.
