In the Nintendo Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, successive layers of music are added to the Rogueport Sewers background music as Mario progresses deeper. However, while the base layer can be heard by itself on the topmost layer, the others cannot be heard without the base layer underneath them.

Here is the extra layer from Sublevel 3, the deepest layer of the Rogueport Sewers, extracted from the game's files. It is a take on the Crystal Stars leitmotif, symbolizing that the Thousand-Year Door is nearby.
