I can't begin to express the joy seeing these flowers brought me. Even in the darkest of days, spring will come to this cemetery.
Autumnal sights at Newington Cemetery, Edinburgh (UK).
The Nemeton
Mystery clouds the sky above the grove,
Tall trees loudly whisper their hidden truth.
All leads to the faint web a spider wove,
All echoes with the scent of ancient youth.
The driest concrete Unity concealed,
the hardest metals still Unity rive.
In the most sunless copse All is revealed,
In the most profound crypt All comes alive.
May all see Oneself in the other's eye,
May all come into the thicket and seek
The sense to our wondering, may all fly
In the dancing breeze, sing by the steam meek.
This verdant shrine, long lost, now sings its hymn
Of whole Unity and of secrets dim.

The Albatross
Soaring above the silent sea, Frightened shouts I heard. Lost men’s voices indeed they were, Their minds, aye, were stirred.
Through the breeze and through the mist, Upon the mast I stood. Like a saint then I was hailed, As I freed their wicked wood.
To meeker waters I led them and their briny decks, A sober man then grabbed a sling, that sling would be their hex.
Frightened and shouting and lost things, Stuck in green ice they’d been, Still they flung their vile sharp steel. Eorþe can’t but have seen.
Since then I’ve flown o’er every land And marked many a cry. Yet my wings still cannot heal: Man’s gold all cannot buy.
Tick
I’m all alone within these haunted walls.
Whispers and noises and voices and hush
Fill each beat. I see the ghastly flames’ calls,
Hear their blue tune: a flaring will to rush
Outwards and inwards. Wandering these floors
Barefoot, I feel the cold hard stone taking
Me away. Now thorny grass on the moors
Tickles my raw palms. I can’t stop waking.
Lying, glowing floaters please my thought
Gifting me with bleak nighty delusions
Which what is real abysmally distort,
Feeding my fancy confused allusions.
Shadows loiter and dance in their light play.
Still, a reddish Sun sets in the same way.
Tock
Memories of fragrant Springs flying by,
Buds bursting with sweet sap and vibrant hues
Reveal their hidden selves and the air dye
Budging dull hearts whereas the brisk ones bruise.
The longing and yearning join the light scent,
Drowned aches resurface, their remains crawling
Up, they howl, unaware of what it meant.
Amidst their wail I make out their calling.
Tick
Charring hopes turning into soothing grief,
I’ll sleep and wake up again tomorrow.
Jailed, Nature can’t offer any relief,
All we’re left with is ennui and sorrow.
Tock
Again, we’ll lie and wait and think and lie.
Again, we’ll go on without knowing why.

Tot
Your rough tips turning my chin to your lips,
Unaware your kiss would set mine aflare
I let you blow smoke I took in in sips,
Poisoning myself, thirsty for your care
Smokey castles saw I in your brown eye,
Visions they were, though to you I would say
I saw nothing there: I could not but lie
When you ruled that to you I was but grey
There in your car rests my mistaken bliss
There upon that bench rests my hopeless whim
There over that chair rests my very first kiss
There down that street we walked, the lights were dim
Now your hand doesn’t feel like when you held mine.
It was a lighter flame love that couldn’t shine
The quirks of quarks, the atoms shifting form,
The geometric array of matter,
Against which all idols sink and shatter,
Freeze us in awe and our mind with charm warm.
----
A nightingale chants a light lonely tune
Scattered in the crisp fresh breeze through the trees,
Background to a dark speckled sky which appease
Our wonder at the orbs above the Moon:
----
From our tiny home the Cosmos we scan,
Further beyond the crystal dome we soar
To expand our collective human-lore
And uncover just how it all began.
----
Yet though long-banished fears a mind can close,
No end, no start this burdensome quest knows.
The thing beyond the frame
Wet eyes staring at me, hot tears, thin streams
Down its sobbing cheeks, all glee wash away.
Its whispers tell that nothing’s what it seems,
That no-one’s themselves, that truth is like clay.
The shaking shape resents the outside cold
That marred and scarred and charred its guiltless skin,
For indeed hate and fate do a soul mould,
And make pure nakedness a filthy sin.
Deep wounds left by shallow words, they still bleed,
Their misshapen edges are rotting now
Under the careful watch of a sour creed
Glad to mutely harm, slow to loudly vow.
My sorry hand I raise, only to see
The figure past the icy mirror’s me.
Autumn
These empty fields, so full of hopeless dreams
Dreamt in those long cold nights of October
They come back at me, each try’s full of seams,
Seamed in sighs, can’t see that when I’m sober.
A crow soars up into a lonely cloud
As his sole witness, that hard-frozen dirt
That gave him but glee. His high-pitched scream’s loud,
Piercing through the low mist, leaving hearts hurt.
Then as the blazing trees do shroud the dark,
The ghosts of stillborn hopes rise up waling,
Clear reminders of those eyes I can mark
No more. Lukewarm echoes come down hailing.
Souls and lifeless leaves crossing the low walls
Parting that which delights from what appals.
The crickets are chanting their secret song
Tonight, beneath the mane of a bold Moon,
The wild stillness I've longed for all along
Will replace this unbending fluster soon
To the blinding day I prefer the night,
Under the stars we can howl with one voice,
In the shared gloom there is no need to fight,
Our common scars we will heal and rejoice
A distant owl hoots and spreads its wings wide,
Soft brown feathers and fierce golden globes look
Upon those shadows who have cried and sighed
Claiming as game those who smiles away took
When the cold sky's black and the bright stars shine
We'll see that in the forest there's no mine
A few pics of flowers I saw in the National Botanic Gardens of Ireland (Dublin), except for the fuchsias, which I found nearby the Castle. Enjoy 🤗
And as he leaned across to look at it, his lips just touched my hand. The world becomes young to me when I hold his hand

straight pride doesn’t exist for the same type of reasons that st.patrick’s day emerged as a whopper party in american & british cities while no one gives a shit about St.John or whoever the fuck the patron saint of England is
