It had been a long, slow day for Rowan. She had been cooped up, doing nothing but watching mindless television shows since dinner, and now that the sun was down she was feeling the need to get out of her room for a while. Thankfully, her night took a pleasant turn when a new face, Gabe, had asked for her company on a walk-slash-tour around the island. Of course, Rowan had accepted almost immediately, eager to spend some time with someone who wasn't a face in a reality show. Plus Gabe seemed to be nice, even though she could tell he was a major flirt. She didn't really mind, though. Surely it was harmless, and she could do with a little fun for once. Life in the house had been at a bit of a stand-still lately, so she was up for anything that got her into some fresh air and away from a screen, even if it was just for a night.
Jumping up from the wrinkled sheets of her bed, Rowan made her way over to the closet, rifling through the various pieces of clothing until she found what she deemed to be a suitable outfit: a sleeveless white blouse and a pair of burgundy shorts, paired with thick black tights in case the weather turned chilly. The outfit was comfortable and actually looked put-together, so she felt pleased with herself as she changed into it and then ran her fingers through her blonde hair, letting it fall in loose waves over her shoulders. After adding a touch of makeup, Rowan looked at her reflection in the mirror on her wall, deciding she was good to go. It actually felt good to have a reason to dress up in something other than jeans and a T-shirt. After all, she needed to let out the girly side of herself once in a while, right?
When she heard someone knocking on her door, she quickly slipped into a pair of comfy, flat black boots and walked over, pulling it open. A smile tugged the corners of her mouth when she saw Gabe. "Evening," she said, stepping out into the hallway. Her door shut behind her with a gentle click, and she gave him a subtle once-over. "You look very prepared," she said, nodding at the basket in his hand. "I like it. Shall we go, then?" She raised her eyebrows and gestured down the hall.
