Despite all the medical appointments lately I'm still slowly chipping away at my work. On the 1st I start 'Hand Therapy' to help with the Acute Tendonitis that's developed in my drawing hand. It's deeply frustrating, so I'm trying so hard to only draw in short bursts and hold my pen in a totally different way, which means my drawing style is shifting. I've swapped the ball point pens for Japanese brush pens as they're a little gentler and I don't need to apply as much pressure. This piece will be for the 'Myth & Moss Exhibit' at the Dory Gallery in Llangollen this summer. The exhibition explores the folklore local to the area and features some incredible Welsh artists and crafts people working in a variety of media, I'm excited to be apart of it. I'll make sure to post more information about the upcoming exhibit soon and about the pieces I'm working on especially ^^
The new studio is taking shape!!! Next job will be putting up the shelves 👀
For a whole host of reasons (including home and studio renovations taking a little longer than expected) I have not yet launched my MTG playmats for sale or fully opened my shop just yet. It's wonderful that people are keen! Thank you so much for all the lovely messages asking about them ^^ There is also a whole backlog of emails and messages to work through, but I promice I am doing my best to respond to everyone.
My wonderful partner Vincent has officially moved in yay! So we are chipping away at things behind the scenes, doing all the official paperwork and getting everything back up and running. It's especially challenging as we have chronic illness and flare-ups to navigate, so we have to take a lot of extra time to rest and pace in-between tasks.
Feeling incredibly thankful to all the wonderful people in our lives who supported us and helped make our home more accessible, you know who you are and I honestly can't even begin to thank you enough! We will do our best to pay it all forward in the ways we're able to. I feel incredibly fortunate to have reached this stage despite all the health challenges we've faced over the past few years. I'm genuinely so excited to start creating new art in this beautful space!
Iroh having a fabulous time in his cateo earlier today, we built this in our back garden so he can enjoy outside enrichment and to keep the local wildlife safe from the clutches of his murder mittens 💚
A large traditional artwork in progress, I’m finally returning to my Cymru roots with my latest works. More to come.
It’s not very often even I get to see the Murktide Regent card in person! This was a prize card I worked on and they are remarkably rare 👀 Ngl I was a tad nervous when signing them 😅 Even I don’t have a copy of this elusive card! They’re so pretty too!
Definitely up there with my favourite AP requests during the London Spotlight Seeies on the back of a Felidar Guardian was this trans-flower. I did some research into bi-gender plants and based its design on the Blue Lilly 🌱
Swimming Felidar’s requested on Felidar Guardian Secret Lair AP’s, using a mix of watercolour, ink and acrylic markers. I really enjoyed drawing these, I was fully in the creative flow state by this point and thinking straight onto the canvas
I freaking adore the artist community! 😅🥰 I always leave these events feeling so energised and inspired to create! What an amazing collection of artists, everyone was so lovely and supportive of one another

I'm so excited to finally announce the HUGE news that myself and a team of incredibly skilled professional artists, animators and musicians have been awarded the 'Experiment £20k' grant funding from Immersive Arts!
Our project 'The Afanc: An Immersive Folklore Experience’ is an experimental immersive art project exploring how a mythological creature from Cymru folklore can become a responsive, living presence shaped by audience interaction.
It is deeply important to us that this project be a celebration of human-made art, reflecting our collective passion for all things Welsh culture and folklore.
As a group we intend to research and test how illustration, animation, and responsive systems can combine to create culturally grounded immersive experiences.
We are so excited to share the creation of this story with you! I will make sure to keep everyone posted as the project develops.
You can find out more about the project and the amazing team involved on the Immersive Arts Website: https://immersivearts.uk/projects/the-afanc/
'Immersive Arts is an ambitious three-year programme that takes place across the UK, using an artist-led approach to working with immersive technologies. This exciting programme encourages artists of all backgrounds and experience to explore, experiment or expand how they work, or would like to, with immersive technologies'.

First look at my art on the official Magic the Gathering Secret Lair playmats for ‘the Scourge of Valkas’ and ‘Felidar Guardian’. I’ll be selling these at the Spotlight event in London this Friday and Weekend. Do stop by and say hello if you’re in the area ^^ entry to the hall is free!
Hay all! I’ll be guesting at @wizards_magic ‘s spotlight event in London from the 8th - 10th of May. Signing cards, taking AP’s sketch commissions and selling my new Beauty of the Beasts secret lair play-mats! 👀
Today I had an assessment and an official diagnoses for Hyper-mobile EDS.
After years of pain, fatigue and not understanding why my body was struggling so much to keep up with everyone around me. I finally have an answer.
Although there’s no fix, I’ve been referred for physio to help manage the symptoms and pain.
Thank you so much to all my friends who have similar conditions and my amazing partner, who pointed this out to me and encouraged me to seek support.
Hopefully moving forward I can treat myself and my body with more compassion and understanding and put things in place to make things easier 💚

'Awakening' It's ok to be yourself, even when others don't understand. The right people will find you. 💛🤍💜🖤
Some personal art I've been chipping away at for quite some time, it feels like it's been a while since I've drawn something purely for myself and of course it had to be dragons! Since injuring my hand I've been learning to draw in a different way, taking things slower, stopping when I feel discomfort and making adjustments that support my body.

Huge congratulations to the @roannelau who’s book ‘The Serpent Called Mercy’ just won this years Aurealis Award! I had the honour of illustrating the cover and watching how well received it’s been all over the world has been wonderful 🥰 Hopefully the first of many more, her work deserves all the recognition! 💚
