But she didn't. She refused to let him fall on his own sword and instead drags him back to herself. She promises to love him unconditionally and SHE DOES SO. She promises she will stand between the heavens and the earth for him and she fucking does it for his entire life. That is another level of devotion that is so rarely shown in media. True unconditional love in the face of great loss and sorrow and hardship. Because let me tell you slowly losing someone you love so much is a torture all its own but she never abandoned him even when he'd mostly lost his memory of her.
