An ongoing ‘event’ throughout RNA
Students and teachers alike are hearing voices - or, rather, one voice in particular. It’s unclear as to what the cause is, or who the voice truly belongs to... in fact, little is clear at all about the incidents. School officials are brushing it off as stress related incidents, and few seem to be discussing the incidents at all, fearing they’ve simply gone mad.
WANT TO JOIN IN ON THE FUN? HERE’S HOW:
If your character is of noble birth or blood, the voice would speak to them.
The voice would not name itself, emphasizing your character’s own personal importance and preferring to focus on them. The voice would seem shy, sad, upset -- whatever would convince your character to stop asking. Ultimately, they seem not to want to talk about themselves, although they do appear to have strong personal ties to the topics they discuss.
The voice would discuss hardships in your character’s life, primarily focused on those related to succession, their duties as a royal, or difficulties in school that their royal position should help them to overcome.
The voice would not outright put down ‘commoners’, nor would it suggest violence toward them. Their intentions, while aimed toward emphasizing that their social stations create vast differences between them, do not seem to be malicious. They instead would seem to encourage helping them, as is one’s ‘duty’ as a royal. Their primary message is that the world is out of balance, with several countries teetering on the brink of war or conflict, and that a return to order would solve many of the issues at hand.
The voice is, undeniably, female.
Some characters may experience nightmares, or dreams, in which the voice appears. The voice would offer guidance on how to solve whatever stress is plaguing them, and to aid in their troubles. The dreams themselves would start on their own, before the voice appears within them, and would be focused on personal issues happening in a character’s life - trouble at home, for example, or their heavy work load at school.
The voice seems focused on a right to rule, and a duty to uphold and embody the qualities that would make someone deserve to rule, as well.
The voice does not wish for those farther down in the line of succession to rise up and usurp those above them, however it does believe in the importance of every royal, and would offer comfort to those who perhaps struggle with their position.
If your character is not of noble birth or blood, the voice would not yet speak to them, unless they are:
disrupting a line of succession for the throne
distracting a future King or Queen from their ‘true’ duties
personally bringing down the monarchy in any country
If your character is doing any of these things, the voice would be discouraging them from continuing, utilizing manipulative tactics to do so. Guilt and remorse for ruining the lives of all involved would be emphasized, and your character would likely experience seemingly unrelated nightmares of the worst possible outcome of their actions -- the death of thousands, the death of their loved ones, a country in ruin, etc.
THIS IS ALL OOC INFORMATION, AND IS NOT TO BE UTILIZED TO DIRECT THREADS, GUESS AT OR PREVENT THE PLOT, OR TO META-GAME IN ANY WAY.
Ultimately, the voice seems to want the world to return to when a monarchy ruled instead of a democratic government, because the people of the world need guidance and help. They are currently encouraging benevolence and truly emphasizing that it is for the best, to help everyone. We will not control how your character reacts to this, or what they suspect personally, or how you choose to utilize these in character occurances; however, should any member claim that the voice has done something out of character, we will be forced to intervene. The voice is not outwardly malicious, and cannot physically hurt anyone.
Some symptoms that characters may experience, however, are:
