It's been quite busy in the castle. How's everyone preparing for the ball?
Can anyone who's planning on coming to the ball my sisters and I will probably be throwing please let me know they would like to come?
Forgive me, but do I know you?
“And what happens to bring you my way today?”
Having a ball for all the royals and their people! You'll be joining, of course?
“I was told you wished to see me?”
Yes! My sisters and I are throwing a ball for all of the royals and their rightful people. Will you be joining us?
"Well, I say that we begin at once. ‘Tis our duty to our country and our sister to investigate such matters."
While you do that, I shall go convince our dear sister to let this ball happen. Wish me luck! I'll most definitely need it.
"Hit him from behind?" She repeated, searching for anything that could potentially knock a man out. "I can’t find anything to hit him with? And let’s be honest, I do not possess the physical strength to knock full grown man out with my fist."
Neither do I. And yet I've done it. Twice. Is there any sort of rock near you? If you hit him in the temple, it should do the trick.
I wish to not be involved in this festive merrymaking nonsense.
You're absolutely no fun. If I were to get this approved, all the royals must be in attendance, so I'm afraid you wouldn't have a choice on the matter.
That’s a brilliant idea, actually. You should get your convincing skills topped up.
I'll see what I can do! My sister isn't the easiest to convince, but I'm sure if it's a ball, she couldn't possibly say no. Who could say no to dancing?
"Personally I think King Charles and King Sebastian are just her type. But we must vet them thoroughly. And if they do wish to court her, I’m sure they could use our help."
We must find out everything there is to know about them! If we're going to set the Queen of England up with someone, he must be absolutely perfect.
"Hit him?" She questioned, gasping at her plan. "I cannot hit him, he’s trained in combat! Whilst I flee when butterflies get too aggressive and start attacking me in the garden." Madeline stated, before letting out a soft laugh.
You would hit him from the back! He wouldn't have time to fight back if you do it right. He'll be knocked out in a second!
"Me? Dear sister I never fall nor fail. I’m much too clever for that. So, shall we do a bit of….research, and decide who we should play matchmaker with?"
I think that would be a very good idea. Remember, he has to be of high status and he must be handsome.
"Or she would fall madly in love. And pigs would sprout wings and take to the skies."
... Right. Well, I suppose we could give it a try! But if this fails, you're taking the fall.
"Yes, you probably already know. It’s been a pretty exhausting day, mainly ‘cause I’m stuck here." Madeline chuckled, letting a smile creep across her lips. "Ah, yes, I’ll be right back." She assured her with plenty of confidence. Tiptoeing her way to were the guard was stationed, she peeked at him then pacing back. "Well, he’s sitting. Hopefully, he’ll fall asleep soon."
If you're feeling a bit rebellious... You could always just hit him in the head with something hard. Nothing I haven't done before.
"Perhaps we should see if we can find her a suitor to bring to this ball. Wouldn’t that be a sight?"
She would probably banish us to the dungeons, Anne. Although, I do agree, it would be quite the sight. Very amusing. Maybe we should.
”Well if we both chime in surely she couldn’t resist the two of us begging. I mean, we are the most lovely sisters in the world, are we not?”
You make a good point, sister. Surely she couldn't say no to the both of us. Have you seen our faces? I say let's do it.
I wish to throw a ball for all the kings, queens, princes, princesses, and their knights in our castle here in England, but I'm not quite sure my sister would let me.
