I’m sorry, but I can’t accept this.

While I imagine this is great news for a lot of people, for me the Avatar series is over.

Asami and Korra getting together was one of the few unequivocally happy events for me during the last decade. To me, they will be forever young and happy. Call it melodramatic, selfish, etc., but I can’t let go.

Best of luck to the creators in their future endeavors.

I can’t think of a single Blizzard game released in the last 20 years that wouldn’t have benefited profoundly from having its announcement delayed by about a year and a half.

Their habit of revealing stuff at a point where they’re uncertain the core concepts hold up will result in more and more embarrassing situations like the one we find ourselves in.

Savathun the Superspy

The latest “Beneath the Endless Night” entry has Granny Savathun hanging out in the Last City. Also, the Retrofuturist lore tab describes her watching a Crucible match.

I bet she joined some old lady bridge club to unwind when she’s not plotting our violent demise.

I finally got Gency voice lines in Storm Rising!

After two years of nothing, I struck gold. In a single game, I got the “buy me dinner” one, Tracer teasing Genji AND the “I’m watching out for you, Angela!” one.

Might be time to buy some lottery tickets.

Pharah joining the “Rescue Zen” mission presents an interesting scenario.

The BTS video gave us glimpses of story missions and it looks like the team extracting Zenyatta will consist of Genji, Winston and Pharah.

I’m just speculating here, but with Widowmaker on sight, Pharah actually has a personal stake in the mission-avenging her mother’s apparent death. This could complicate things for the team, creating tension but also humanizing her.

A fun little detail in the Overwatch 2 Behind The Scenes video from Blizzcon.

When Genji shows up to save Zenyatta from Talon in that “work-in-progress” cutscene we glimpsed, one of the grunts in the background panics and drops his rifle.

Genji likely has a fierce reputation among Talon and I like to think that poor fellow was one of the few survivors of either Retribution or Storm Rising. He knows what comes next.
