I think Guzi would have to initiate the hug, as Qi Rong was a little clueless on how to properly comfort him. Which then turns into Qi Rong having the realization of how touch-starved he was, so ends up being a comfort for both of them! Thanks for the rq :>

Hi Guzi! Did you and your dad celebrate the new year together?

恭喜你呀 Happy New Year to you!!!!!

There are certain parts of the new year celebration that my dad prefers to avoid. Ever since the incident with the Queen's remains, he has been very touchy about honoring dead family, and he really doesn't tolerate any red decorations. But we still did some stuff!

This is the one time of year when he actually bothers to have the soup pot cleaned out. Knowing he can't get sick, I suppose it's not really to prevent health hazards, but it's still good to just have a day when things don't smell like... that. I did a lot of scrubbing. Dad cheered me on with a gold flag. Half way through he fell into a fit of laughter for seemingly no reason. I gave him a look, and when he stopped laughing, he said, "See! I always said I'd put you in there, and now my word is good!" :P he can be silly sometimes!

Since there was no soup, my dad ate kumquats with me, and we got into a kumquat fight, hehe! (No ghosts or princes were harmed in the making of this mess)
