There is something going on with his advisor.
Mobei Jun has never quite trusted Shang Qinghua. The man has too many secrets. He enjoys control, and resents the demon who helped him gain power. When Junshang arrived and began to collect wives, Mobei looked to Shang Qinghua to see how his advisor would react to the destruction of Cang Qiong.
He had expected a token of his loyalty to the North, or perhaps an attempt to steal as much as possible from the sect before Luo Binghe fully takes Cang Qiong out. He did not expect his advisor to pass out for a week, and wake up acting completely different. A qi deviation of some sort?
His advisor is much more cowardly now. Shang Qinghua had always been weak and jumpy, but he shows it more often now, and is quick to hide behind Mobei Jun for it.
Mobei Jun doesn't regret sheltering Shang Qinghua behind him. He just wishes he understood what changed.
