Seeing this Shooshimooshi case only makes me think of one thing: why do people in the TCC keep giving attention to this type of YouTuber?
Whenever a channel like this posts a video about the TCC, I see people on Tumblr talking about it right afterward, usually annoyed because the video is incredibly stupid. But we already know that all of these videos are the same and that they're going to say the exact same things every time.
MandrakeCalvin, for example, has 27.8k subscribers basically by making videos that quickly summarize a case and then spend several minutes talking about the perps in a very generic way. Despite that, I admit that his most recent video about Adam Lanza was good.
I honestly don't see the point of us TCCers watching videos about the TCC community or reaction videos about cases made by this type of creator. We already know exactly what the video is going to be like. They spend a good portion of the video sitting in silence because, let's be honest, they're not particularly interesting people to listen to. Then they make a few jokes about the shooter, barely mention the victims, spread some misinformation, and repeat extremely predictable comments like, "I don't know if the bullying story is true, but that still doesn't justify it," or, "What a psychopath" (when the shooter usually seemed more like someone with borderline personality disorder). As if any of that were a particularly original thing to say.
And when they decide to talk about the TCC community, they show the first edits they find by searching "teeceecee" on TikTok and use them as a representation of the entire community. From there, the comments start about how macabre and creepy we are, followed by the usual claims that we're all just "edgy teens."
And then comes the comment section. Usually it's just people repeating exactly what they heard in the video without adding anything, angry TCCers arguing with everyone, or people simply posting ragebait.
The community complains about these creators, but it keeps giving them views, commenting on their videos, and helping spread them to even more people. It's really annoying.
Can we just ignore these types of YouTubers?đđđť
