Anniversary things II
“Im totally in for that”, Minwoo chuckled, putting his spoon in his mouth before she offered hers, then took that as well, humming. “I think maybe I could work at a restaurant if I ever get too old to travel as much?”, he teased, scooping some soup to feed her as well, though after a few more bites he yawned and couldnt cover one bit for it, so he laughed instead, setting the bowl down and folding towards her to pretend to sleep on her lap. “Maybe nap a bit before leavng?”

“You are more than welcome”, he replied, smiling gently, and bit his lips to hold back a chuckle at her teasing. Then nodded, giving her a last squeeze before he pulled back enough so they could eat their breakfast properly. “What do you want to do today?”, he asked, uncapping the soup bowls first, then the rice and assorted veggies and tofu, leaving the fish covered so it’d keep warm longer.
She smiled as she too readjusted so they can eat. When he uncapped the rest of the food, she picked up her spoon to start tasting te soups he had made. She hummed with delight as she ate, “This tastes amazing jagiya~” She nodded and continued to eat as she thought about his question. “Hm… what else is there to see around this area?” She looked back at him as she ate a scoop of rice.
Minwoo winked at her at the compliment and picked up his own bowl to get at it before laughing. “More temples!”, he teased, grinning. “You can never run out of those here, really”, he hummed. “We can go to the fields area, maybe help in a farm, try different restaurants?”. He knew that was just more food, but everything looked so good in spring and Nari liked trekking so Japan was sort of ideal to go for it.

Minwoo chuckled low as she covered her mouth, feeling the corner of his lips struggle to get further to the edges of his face than they already were, while at the same time, he felt a little bad for making her cry.
“I love you”, he cooed and cupped her face and kissed her first, trying to dry some tears with his sleeve, then took her hand to slip on the ring, playing with her fingers for a moment as he watched it there and smiled back up at Nari, sitting cross legged again and lowering his hands to wrap around her middle, letting out a big happy sigh as he held her tight.
She chuckled softly as he cupped her face. “I love you too~” she replied and kissed him back. When he slid the ring on her finger, her eyes fell to look at it. She chuckled softly, she couldn’t hold back the happy tears, she really didn’t expect him to propose in that moment and the way he did it was also touching. She looked at him smiling brightly, then carefully moved around to sit in his lap and curl into him. “I love you so much~” She said and kissed his jaw. “How long were you planning this for?” She asked curiously as she snuggled up against him, holding her hand out to look at the beautiful ring on her finger.
Letting his arms accomodate around Nari as she moved to sit on him, Minwoo rested his chin on her shoulder and kissed it, then her neck before nuzzling her a little and smiling at her kiss too. He couldnt help but laugh. “Like half a year?”, he raised a brow, kissing her nose, and shook his head, giving her a squeeze. “To be completely honest. I’ve been fighting not to go on my knees since before your birthday”, he chuckled, biting his lips. “But I did tell your dad I wanted to marry you the day I met him, so I wanted us to move in first and actually find a ring, you know? Cause I couldn’t propose without one”, Minwoo nodded, teasing, and nuzzled her cheek, still smiling gently. “So once I had it, and we were already planning this, I had to go back to your dad and your brother to sort of get their view on it and give them the heads up. Hm… something like that?”
She smiled as she listened to him, his sweet kisses and touch making her feel loved and happier than she had ever been in her life. She glanced back at him and chuckled, “You really asked my dad and brother? You went through all that trouble for me?” She caressed his cheeks with her hands and pressed a gentle kiss on his lips. “I love you so much~” She rest her head on his shoulder. “I don’t think I could imagine spending my life with anyone else but you~” She said quietly, then smiled to herself, “And to imagine it all started with that sudden kiss at the bar that one night.” She nuzzled her nose into his neck.
“Mhmm. They’re important to you, they’re important for me too”, Minwoo nodded slowly in reply, chuckling. One thing he thought all three men had in common was that side of tradition. He would have still wanted to marry Nari, but at least talking to them first let them know he respected their part in her life enough to consider them in such decision. “I love you too”, he hummed, giving her a squeeze. “I dont know how I can defend that liquid courage, really. But, I liked you already so it wasn’t that sudden for me~”, he chuckled again, blushing a little and stroking her hair.

It was a long few days, so much sight seeing and places. Of course Nari tried to capture every incredible moment on her camera and she was overwhelmed with excitement as well that she didn’t even notice anything different in her boyfriend. She just assumed that he was as enthused about showing her around as she was about being there. When they were at the Tokyo tower it was absolutely breath-taking. The view of the city was amazing and standing there with the love of her life made it even that much more outstanding.
The city was absolutely beautiful but when they got out of the city and went hiking it was even better than she could have possibly imagined. She had an amazing time hiking and exploring, then going to the onsen. She couldn’t help but feel spoiled by the entire trip so far and she loved Minwoo for always taking care of her. The thought of marriage always lingered in her head for the past few months since she knew her younger brother was engaged and she was partly jealous of that fact, but she decided to be patient and just let things happen. She knew that as long as she had Minwoo there was nothing else she would ask for.
The next morning she was completely exhausted from all the exploring so she didn’t notice when Minwoo got out of bed. Of course, when she rolled over to try and cuddle only to find an empty spot she was slightly confused but turned back the way she was to get comfortable again. Then she felt air blowing on her nose and then the familiar voice of her loved one calling her name. She slowly woke up stretching out a bit and once she opened her eyes and was greeted by a plethora of food she smiled sleepily. “Omo… did you prepare all this?” She asked as she moved to sit up and check what each bowl contained. It all looked so good and smelled amazing.
She picked up the last bowl and blinked as she opened it to see a beautiful oval shaped ring. Granted she just woke up, it didn’t quite hit her what was happening. “Minwoo… what’s this?” She reached in to take the ring out and seeing how beautiful it was she gasped realizing what it possibly could mean, her eyes widened a bit as she looked at him.
Anniversary things...
Minwoo was terrible with suprises because he was a planner, and he wanted things to go the best possible and when he got excited there was no-fucking-way to keep him cooled down. He bit his lips a lot, oozed enough energy to power a fucking building, his eyes gleamed with anticipation and he got so fidgety it was impossible for people not to know something was up… And Nari meant the world to him, and lived with him, so all he could do was to put all the more effort in making the surprise work. Only at the same time, including her in his plan, so the long awaited trip to Japan was a perfect little touch for their anniversary. Giving him time to prepare everything he needed to cover while he got to take her home, visit all the places he sent her pictures from or talked about when he was over travelling for work, and go on the type of dates they usually had in Korea too. So when he blasted happiness, it could be perfectly pinned to that.
Though he couldn´t help to drop subtle (and internally destroyful) hints at her once he had the freedom to. Their anniversary was a day away. Minwoo mock complained about his legs being heavy after their tour through temples, and compared how high he felt when they were together, to watching Tokyo lit up from over 634 meters off the ground. The actual miracle then, was that he still had enough strength and will power not to let his knee pull him down to the floor in front of the few hundred people with them at the top. Yet his hand did not shake and he breathed a sigh of relief after taking Nari into his arms again.Though the rush had been so intense he might have felt warmer to be around than usual.
But then he took her out of the crowded city, so they could try one of the best things you could do with someone in Japan, and go hiking in the forests and then soak their bones at an onsen with a perfectly traditional ryokan room to rest for the night. Whose owners were in such complicity with Minwoo, that let him use the kitchen so he could make breakfast early for her on their anniversary and take his special order back to the room. It was almost like the one they´ve had on the three days there, with different dishes in little bowls and their covers, their tea cups and pot. Just that one of the covered bowls didn´t contain food.
Ah, the fifteenth.
Finally.

Anniversary things II
Once in the room, Minwoo set their tray down next to her futon and laid face down on the floor with his chin resting in his hands and his feet up like the big kid he was, watching Nari from across their breakfast pots as he waited for her to wake up.
Even if he woke up early, he had been away from the bed for long enough, the flowers he got were fresh, the food was right at level with her face, and wasnt being entirely quiet in his observation, either: cooing her name and blowing air at her nose to see how long it took to get her attention so he could smile and say: "Hey baby... Happy anniversary", hopefully for the first time in many to come.
But he didn´t move from his spot, letting her discover all the dishes on her own and the little gift he had hidden there. @kimxnarix
