Yo, I know you’ve seen ROBYN SYKES around campus! She is 19 years old and from HOUSTON, TX. Someone told me that they’re a FULL-TIME STUDENT, but, who knows. They get mistaken for ZENDAYA often but eh — we think ROBYN looks better.
Robyn grew up in complicated household, and not complicated in the cliche way. Robyn made it complicated for herself. Her parents divorced before she was old enough to remember and that began the root of her problems. Robyn lived with her mother and shared custody with her father on the weekends. She wasn’t technically an only child being her mother’s only, yet her father had siblings that she never grew up with due to varying age differences. Robyn took to liking the idea of having two households, often she would pit her parents against each other when she was very young and it was so easy because she knew they had a hidden, but still very present dislike of each other. If one parent wouldn’t get her something she’d wait and ask the other for it. This worked until she started getting older and the void that used to fill didn’t work anymore, and when it started to go downhill for her. Her parents started realizing and soon her way of life began to change, she had to get a job and actually start being independent. That’s when she’d gotten a sense of self and from then on she distanced herself from her parents and began to live life governing herself.
Moving so far from home was at the top of list for Robyn to do after graduation, so when she got to Riviera Heights it was like a dream of hers came into reality. Robyn thought she was able to live on her own so far from home but in the first semester she realized she needed the love and support from her parents she’d taken for granted, she’d missed her hometown friends and the people around her she never seemed to fit with. Even though she played basketball her teammates weren’t as close with her as her high school teammates and she’d realized that she’d taken her high school years for granted. Eventually she came out of her shell and found her niche, she began making friends and making a name for herself at school.
Robyn is that friend that makes sure that everyone in her group of friend’s is always happy and uplifted. You can always find her making someone feel good about themselves, but this doesn’t mean Robyn isn’t also sometimes a bit too much. Sometimes Robyn can be conceited and arrogant about herself and over cocky but she always knows when to reel it back in.
