Hot take: I'm not against AI and use it all the time. But I'm against the way some people started using AI, specially on "creative" works.
I use AI daily either to save time or to do automatic tasks I don't really care about.
"But AI wastes thousands of liters of water every time you use it."
That's not 100% true. Yes it happens, but not all AI does that, only generative AI. Non-generative AI uses water to cool the data center down, but the amount of water used is derisive. Meanwhile a single hamburger wastes between 1700 to 2000 liters of water. That's way more than even generative AI wastes, and one of the reasons I became a vegetarian.
The real issue with AI is the way people use them. Generative AI shouldn't exist and when people say "AI is bad" they are most likely referring to generative AI. If you use AI to "create something" you're not a creator, you're not an artist, you are an idiot with access to a phone telling a computer system to do something both of you are incapable of doing: real Art. An ancient expression of HUMAN language capable of inducing reflections and connecting PEOPLE.
Not to mention all the ethical problems with cyber security and similar issues
