Yesterday, I had the honor of officiating the wedding of two dear friends of mine, @kawilson8181 and Richie Ropes (no social media). This weekend, one of my photography idols has passed on. Watching Bill Cunningham work was a dizzying exercise in efficiency and curiosity. He knew what caught his eye and never stopped going after it. When I took this Polaroid of him a few fashion weeks ago for @wmag, he yelled at me for messing up the shot he was taking. I responded saying that it was from him that I learned to jump right in the middle of it to get your shot. He looked me in the eyes as his cold stare turned into a lighthearted smirk. One of the coolest moments of my career for sure. That level of dedication and discipline is something we can all learn from. #restinparadise Mr. #billcunningham (at NYFW)
