Hey, everyone. Earlier this month I landed a job, and I’ve been extremely busy with individual personal projects. Also, I should be moving in August, so there’s a ton on my plate.

However, I do not wish to go on hiatus. I don’t have any shortage of muses. However, recently, I made a multi-muse blog. I love running it and using it as a master center kind of thing.

So, I’m making the hard decision to archive this blog and move Brendan to my multi-muse blog that you’re more than welcome to follow here: @musesbygeoff!

It’s been a ton of fun running Brendan as an individual blog. I was very thrilled to see a lot of people like my headcanoning for Brendan to be put into the anime, make a timeline for him, build his character, build a Pokemon team, interact with the anime cast! It’s been a blast! So much fun, it was actually this blog that’s kept me from wanting to make this decision sooner. However it’s been a direction I’ve been thinking about going for quite some time. Brendan will still be a muse over at my multimuse blog.

Thank you for understanding and double Thank You for making this blog a ton of fun. This blog is not being deleted. It will live on in memory as an archive.

Drew: Hello?

May: Hey, Drew, we just met someone here at the Slateport City Pokemon Center.

Brendan: He says he's from Fanciest Coordinator Magazine. And he wants to honor you for Coordinator of the Month.

-Drew rushes down to the Slateport City in a matter of seconds.-

Drew: I have arrived.

-Brendan and May are laughing.-

Drew: What's so funny? Where's the interviewer?

May: You just missed him.

Brendan: But he wanted us to tell you...

Drew: Tell me what?

Brendan: He told me to tell you...(whispers in his ear) April Fools.

What was this? There was a big poster that had an odd ruffled appearence under it. What was going on? Perhaps there was something under it that was worth seeing? You turn your head, or what you think is your head anyway, towards a man behind a table reading a newspaper. He couldn’t care less about what was happening it seemed like. And the other adults were too into playing their gambling games to notice that a child had moved a poster a bit off the wall.

What was behind it? A switch. A secret switch. As you press it you hear the sounds of gears moving and a slab of concrete moving somewhere. I mean, who wouldn’t flip the switch? Turning around you see a secret area has opened up beneath the casino. Seems this was just the thing you were looking for and you go down the stairs.

Lower level looked the same as the upper level, except there were odd floor pannels on the ground. Have you even seen any of these before? You’re curious so you reach your foot over one. Big mistake. You are spinning like crazy around and you have no idea what you’re doing! Maybe you shouldn’t have had a big lunch before getting there since you start to feel sick. Finally you stop on one tile that didn’t seem to have arrows on them. You begin to see a pattern in the tiles and to prevent yourself from getting sick you carefully make your way to the other rooms.

That’s when you notice that you’re in the right place. Lots of adults in black and red clothing come by with a red R on their shirt. You even manage to get in disguise as well by getting a Rocket uniform. You go somewhere private and try to put them on. They were…a little loose to say the least. Apparently you didn’t fit in with the other grunts since you were much smaller than the other ones. Not to mention how tiring it was to try to keep from tripping in pants that were way too big for you. Okay…back to the classic red outfit with jeans. Everyone knew that was you anyway.

You battle countless people and win, until you finally get to the final area. There he was. He was staring at you while he pets his Persain, a smug smile on his face. You feel a sense of worry but anger. This man was the ones who sent those other guys to hurt Cubone’s mother. You clinch your fist as you go near him, a little intimidated by how calm he was. You just defeated his underlings single-handedly, what makes this guy think he could defeat you? The man sends out his first Pokemon and you send out yours. You finally say to him with fire in your eyes: “I’m not letting you get away with this, Giovanni!”

I actually wouldn’t mind if we get another FRIENDLY RIVAL in the upcoming Pokemon game. I don’t know why people keep wanting a mean rival. It doesn’t really add anything because we’re still going to fight bad guys and an evil team organization. It’s nice the game gives us a friend.

Pokemon fans need to be more open-minded to Yokai Watch! Without even looking into the game they’re always like “It’s a ripoff!” Which reminds me of the early 2000s war it had with Digimon.

Yokai Watch’s only similarity to Pokemon is the catch em all gimmick, but other than that they play completely different and Yokai Watch’s story mode has been much deeper than any Pokemon game.

(And bonus unpopular opinion: Pokemon doesn’t need to have a deep story. It’s simpleness makes it fun, kind of like how I find Mario games to be fun despite simplicity).

But what I’m saying is, there’s more to Yokai Watch than what you see on the surface.

As a fan of all 3, they’re all great.
