this mod adds group announcements with reactions from known sims nearby.
download on patreon (early access)
requires lot 51 core library
mostly base game compatible, some interactions require specific packs
age group: child to elder
this mod adds 17 new interactions, all available by clicking on an active sim.
7 interactions are available at any time:
two main helpful interactions:
"gather around" and "get attention"
"gather around" opens a sim picker. selected sims will gather around your sim and wait there for a while.
2. āget attentionā makes nearby sims stop what theyāre doing.
sometimes they may need a moment to finish their current action first.
this interaction is useful when you want sims to stay where they already are, but stop talking or doing other activities.
"say hello", "celebrate!", "motivate the group",
share good news and bad news
"say hello"
your sim can greet all known sims nearby at once.
"celebrate!"
sims may do this autonomously during events if they are in a good mood.
"motivate the group"
nearby sims will have custom focused buff.
life event announcements
event-based announcements will be available for 2-3 days after the event happens.
āannounce graduation,ā āshare news about leaving school,ā and āshare news about leaving universityā require 'high school years' or 'discover university' ep. āannounce graduationā will appear after your sim gets their diploma, either from high school or university.
āshare news about leaving jobā will be available if your sim quits or gets fired. please note: if you choose āquit careerā on the phone or computer and then press ācancel,ā the announcement will still appear anyway.
children with an āAā grade will have access to the āshow off good gradesā announcement at any time.
outcomes:
- relationship gain;
- custom buffs;
- sims will be more likely to start talking to each other after an announcement.
CAS Mod - No Make-Up & No Accessories on Randomized Sims
This mod disables make-up and accessories (incl. tattoos and hats) when randomizing a sim in CAS. As a bonus, from my understanding & testing, the same game mechanic is then also applied for any randomly generated townies in-game (not including NPC outfits).
As someone who spends countless hours in CAS and gets quickly frustrated with randomized townie outfits, I felt like this could be useful š
You can use this mod simultaneously with my presets mod for randomized sims.
NPC Fashion - is a configuration file for MC Command Center. It won't work without MCCC.
Compitable with the latest game patch.
If you are tired of ridiculously dressed NPCs, or you want your newly generated NPCs are being dressed at least not like weirdos and you are using MCCC, than this file is the solution.
This file contains:
1530 unique female outfits total;
1771 unique male outfits total;
341 unique female (elders) outfits total;
653 unique male (elders) outfits total;
133 unique female (child) outfits total;
245 unique male (child) outfits total;
263 unique outfits for infants.
How to install:
simply drop the file from the archive in MCCC folder and confirm replacement if needed.
In game:
Click on a Computer >>Ā [MC Command Center]Ā >>Ā [MC Dresser]Ā >>Ā [Only Use Saved Outfits]Ā :
**You must choose "Enabled" for MC Dresser to clean sims with outfits listed in the CFG file.
Click on a Computer >>Ā [MC Command Center]Ā >>Ā [MC Population]Ā >>Ā [Population Settings]Ā >>Ā [Run Dresser]Ā :
**You must choose "Enabled" for new sims to be generated with clean outfits.
Download here: NPC Fashion (SFS)
Warning! I have all EPs and DLSs. This means that if you don't have some clothes, which where used in this .cfg file, some outfits may be "broken" (missing bottom or top etc.).
I highly recommend using this mods to make NPCs in your game much more prettier:

More samples of outfits, which newly generated NPC can wear under the cut:
In my attempt to create more decent looking randomized sims, I went through the various body & facial presets (as well as eyebrows, beards and skintones) and picked those that, at least in my opinion, look decent on most sims, thus, hopefully, making for more decent looking randomized sims on average. In addition to the presets selection, I adjusted some parameters used for adding variation to the body presets. Kids and toddler presets are not included in this mod, and I also didnāt bother with occult specific presets.
Update as of August 1st 2022: Added the option to exclude body hair.
You can use this mod simultaneously with the mod "No Make-Up & No Accessories On Randomized Sims".
Download and more info below the cut.
Some elements I focussed on:
One thing I was trying to do are stronger and more natural looking facial features. For example, I went for stronger jaws and wider noses, but then also deselected a lot of the eye presets that look somewhat crooked or cartoon-like to me. I also selected the more smooth looking chins, cheeks and foreheads presets.
Eyebrows and beards also make a huge difference, in my opinion. I only left a few neutral options for both. This, by the way, also makes it more likely for a randomized sim not to have a beard. (Per default, the game just picks randomly from all of the beard options, therefore, almost all randomized male sims show up with a beard.)
And yep, the skintones. I think the texture of many skintones looks either patchy or is otherwise poorly made (although I'm not sure if this is partly an issue with certain graphic cards/computers). I actually deselected a bunch of the lighter skintones from the neutral and the cold panel, because they look somewhat unnatural to me with the very grey or even purple undertones. As well as a few others. (As you canāt disallow skintones for randomization like you can with other body presets, I used a workaround by reassigning those skintones as vampire skintones, so they wonāt show up randomly on normal sims anymore.)
Besides, a huge frustration factor for me has always been the poor posture on (for the most part) male sims. There are actually only two male body presets with a decent posture. I used them (as well as a third one) but adjusted both to some degree to look more like the average human body. I also only used three of the female body presets and adjusted one of them (the skinny curvy one) to be a bit heavier than the default. Edit for clarification: I didnāt change the underlying āphysical partā (the mesh) of the preset but only changed some variables in the preset settings for the default fit/heavy (slider) values that are used when applying the preset for the first time. So there shouldn't be any impact on preexisting sims.
Overall I'm quite happy with the result for female sims and, well, I did my best for the male sims under given circumstances :D At some point I needed to call it a day, so here it is:
SFS | MF
I provide the mod as a zip file (you need to unzip it with a free program like WinRAR or 7-Zip) containing the following parts as package files:
All of those parts also work standalone and in any combination! (The files do not rely on each other.)

Updates:
July 5th, 2025: Update for patch 1.116 (Fairies). Added fairy tags to the body presets and updated the tuning file with new references. Also provided the subfiles 1-5 on SFS, if you want to avoid downloading zip files.
March 3rd, 2025: Updated the Alien tag in Body Presets (other presets are not affected). The files referenced an outdated alien tag, preventing the body presets to show up in CAS for aliens. Also updated the alien tag in Body Hair, however, the tag there doesn't seem to make a difference. Excluded a beard from randomization that was added with the Life & Death pack.
July 23rd, 2023: Update for patch 1.99/Horse Ranch EP to account for new presets as well as a new tag that was introduced for the Native American archetype.
August 1st, 2022: Added the option to exclude body hair (5.) and updated the files 1. & 3. with items that were added to the game since the time when I created the mod.
Notes regarding the files:
The files with the deselected eyebrows, beards, body hair and skintones will count as cc and trigger the cc flag. Besides, the deselected eyebrows, beards and body hair will be also excluded for genetic randomization (other presets are not affected based on my testing). So I provide those files separately for easy removal (and in case you only wanna use some parts of the mod).
For more experienced users: You can also unmerge the body presets package file with S4S to receive the sub-files for body, cheeks, chins, eyes, headshape, jaws, mouths and noses as well as the tuning file, if you want to pick only certain parts of the mod here, as well, or adjust the files. (Half of this enterprise was actually looking up the items and organizing them into categories.) Please note, if you mess around with the files in S4S, don't save over the tuning file, it's a certain type of file that needs special handling when saving in S4S (I used a workaround so that the decimals would actually be saved correctly).
Clarifications, conflicts and TOU:
This mod only disallows certain items to be picked when a sim is randomized. All items are still "there" and can be picked manually in CAS.
I was asked how this mod affects genetics, so I'm adding this info here. I can only go by my observations as this part of the game code is not accessible to me but I didn't mess with anything specific to genetics. I'm assuming there must be some sort of mapping for inheritance as well as a random element to it. I didn't change anything about the inheritance part and nothing about how kids are randomized (in particular, I didn't exclude anything specifically for kids). So if there is a link/mapping between adult to kid presets or gen1 to gen2 presets, it shouldn't be affected by the mod. And based on my observations, presets that are excluded for randomization are still inherited. However, as mentioned in the notes above, I did notice that deselected eyebrows, beards and body hair seem to be excluded and are not inherited. Feel free to let me know if you notice anything different or peculiar though (so far, I'm not aware of any issues).
The "Body Presets Selection & Tuning" part (specifically the tuning part of it) will conflict with Menaceman44's Auto Shorter Teens mod. However, although the tuning file is one of the main parts of my mod, you can also exclude it if you would like to use the shorter teens mod at the same time.
The mod will also conflict with SimulForge by Crilender and probably any other mod overriding CAS presets.
Please, contact me in case you intend to use the mod or parts of the mod for other creations.
Happy Simblreen everyone! Hereās the treat I gave away over the weekend! TWENTY FOUR, TWENTY-FOUR OCCULT TOWNIES!
*insert The Count laugh here*
Anyway, there was a great response to last yearās occult townies and Iāve fallen in love with making occult sims since, so here are 24 more! Vampires, Spellcasters, Mermaids and Werewolves ready to join your games.
These YA and Adult sims have outfits in every category, pronouns, sexual preferences, likes and dislikes, and body hair. There are six of each occult type, divided into four families. Just plop and play!
As always the sims are cc-free. I used a lot of packs, but I hopefully it wonāt be difficult to replace missing items if you need to do that. If you want the sims to look like they do above, check out my defaults linked below.
this is a project ive wanted to do for a while now, and i finally sat down and finished it! here youāll findĀ 32 cc free YA sims made for the purpose of populating your saves. theyāre split up into 4 households of 8 for the sake of convenience. feel free to use these sims however you like, but i recommend just using them as townies :^) enjoy!
CC Free townie dump. Includes at least 1 option for each outfit category, traits, aspirations, skills, a sexuality, jobs / or enrolled in Uni, likes and dislikes and turn-ons and turn-offs.
Gallery ID: Cowplant-Snacks
Get the trayfiles here. See more pics of my other cc free townies here.
Default eyes + skin see my resources. Compatible with this height slider.
Simply place the townies in an empty lot and evict them immediately or use them with the MCCC import tag. If used with the import tag, jobs, traits, likes etc.. will be randomized.
Tired of dealing with randomly generated townies who show up with unwanted CC on them?!
Do these 3 things:
1) Use MCCC Tray Importer so that all of your randomly generated townies are from tagged households in your library. I made a tutorial here. These tagged households can or cannot include CC, it's up to you. Need some townies? I have some here and here are others.
2) Use Sims 4 Studio to disable all newly added cc for random before loading your game. I have a waiting folder for all newly added CC so I can test them and run batch fixes. More info on batch fixes can be found here and here. <- UPDATED
3) Use MCCC and a dresser file so that when sims age up they get a premade outfit. May I suggest checking out @blackpanda-ts4's file here? Want more info and maybe to make your own dresser file then see here, here, and here. This a great option for historical players or if you have a limited number of packs, but def more advanced and more work. Make sure to tag all of your active households so the MCCC doesn't dresser clean them when they age up.

Helpful comment @strangegrapefruit thanks for the heads up.
hi! I'm copy-pasting this to a bunch of sims players so, sorry if you've seen this ask before!
But I basically just want to ask how do you prep or upkeep your save files?
I want to compile a list of resources, either mods that help not spawn random looking NPCs or townie dumps etc. (I know about npcc but that mod is retired now I think) Also I'm curious as to how people update their Legacy saves so they won't get boring or filled by random NPCs.
I often go and manually delete NPCs or add gallery lots but that's very time consuming when you're playing in a laggy laptop and I usually don't have much time to play, so, yeah! Anything you can think of, as random or as specific, helps!
Hi lava-nder,
I use mccc import tray settings to control the townies my game populates. I never have to delete townies since all of the ones in my game have been hand selected (so to speak).
Go to mc population/ population settings / import tray settings
My settings are:
import tray settings: 100%
import tray sims type: all saved sims
import tray by tags: any save sim
limit import by tags: only include tags (so only households I have tagged will be used)
include gender options: enabled
include clothing: enabled
import sim name: skip sim if name exists (prevents duplicate townies)
import bypass appearance: disabled
Then I add the tag #mccc_include to all households that I am okay with the game grabbing townies from. While in CAS, I download townies, add this tag to the household and then save them to my gallery. MCCC does the rest.
***The #mccc_include tag must be included in the Description field. Adding it to the comments will not work.***
***Also the last part of the #mccc_include tag might be greyed out, but be sure to type the whole thing in.***
Other tips / advice:
I recommend this guide to set up an organized mods folder.
Overrides should be kept separately.
I have a waiting folder for all new mods and CC so I can test them and then move them to a new folder later. I also run batch fixes on all newly added CC, so that they aren't enabled for random, etc.... I only batch fix stuff in that "testing folder".
KEEP BACKUPS of your tray files, screenshots, saves files, and mods folder.
I try to only use mods by people who regularly update them.
If I get LE's I get help at Sims After Dark discord.
I really hope this post actually shows up on your dashboard, because Tumblr accidentally banned my blog ā and then took several months to restore it...
