Sator Meus Megadad au (he’s still absent so Soundwave became the cassette player that stepped up) feat. his fuckass cousins

Current lore: in Megadad variation (rather than Ultradad) he dumps the freshly minted protoform on Soundwave to take care of and fucks off to continue his search for the Allspark. Orion believes he is a cassette and that Soundwave is his imprinted mentor for his entire youngling life on New Kaon. Soundwave rejoins the Nemesis crew and Orion follows, meeting Megatron for the first time. Orion is both terrified and infatuated with Megatron, observing from a distance then running when he’s noticed.

Rumble and Frenzy are less babysitters and more chaotic role models trying to train the sweet-natured temperament out of Orion. The trio, inseparable and their pranks, innumerable.

I have a whole Drabble I want to write about this specific variation of Orion being a youngling living on the nemesis.

One idea is…Orion is trying to hold his own against a soldier, maybe Scorponok or even Deadlock lol, during his martial training. He’s struggling to figure out the technique they’re working on. Tarn is visiting his lordship and clocks the youngling’s struggle (and parentage) and challenges him. Orion accepts because Megatron is standing Right There staring at him. Tarn wipes the floor with the youngling but keeps pushing too far when Orion panic-chirps and Megatron fucking bodies Tarn. No one speaks of the sudden—violent—reaction and Orion is told to clean up and go back to the classroom to finish his studies for the day.

It is on purpose. One, it is incredibly dangerous for an unarmored protoform to be set loose on a ship. Then tack on the flag of being Megatron’s whelp and there is guaranteed 10 mechs threatening Orion’s spark like day one out of the incubator as leverage against Megatron.

It’s much safer for Orion to live on New Kaon and imprint on Soundwave. On New Kaon he has a whole penthouse, solid ground to stand on, and a sky to live under. He can experience growing up in a Decepticon city with little worry.

Here Megatron genuinely couldn’t care less about what happened to this whelp. Orion is a liability. But no matter how much he pushes the bitlet away he cannot deny the pull to comfort in his…aggressive emotionally detached way.

He is about 43 cm tall (1.41 feet or 2.418 bananas), from his feet to his wing tips, depending on his wing position. This model is very much inspired and made to go with @solid-helium 's Soundwave, so I scaled Starscream based on him. He is movable at his ankles, knees, hips, torso, neck, shoulders, elbows and wrists. This is achieved via Lego hinges (credit for this idea goes to Solidhelium as well). There are 5 different, interchangeable hand models, held in place with magnets. His wing position is movable in the sense, that you can choose how far up or down tilted they are. There are two head models, which can be exchanged. One with a smug smile, the other with terrified puppy eyes.(if that doesn't sum up Starscreams entire existence lmao). He can stand surprisingly well. He cannot transform!! 

OMG hes finally done. This was a crazy little project and I'm really proud of how it turned out. I had a lot of fun and learned lots of new things about Blender. If you decide to make this for yourself, I would love to see the results. Pls pls pls tag me on tumblr. Special thanks go to:

Arachnus Prime AU - Optimus comes to terms with his new thinly veiled metaphor for chronic illness by carving himself a niche in the decepticon social hierarchy and struggles with his desire to go home against the truth of the abomination he's become.

Royal AU

Dragonformers (everyone's a beastformer now)

The ACTUAL Beastformers AU - season 4 universe jumping tomfuckery caused everyone to turn into maximals/predacons and they need to figure out a way home from prehistoric earth to modern earth...time machine style.

Merformers AU (waterworld earth or waterworld cybertron variants)

Sator Meus AU (MegaMags with mid-war oops baby Optimus) - This one also has several branches that have different endings. Like Ultra gives up Orion (Canon branch), Ultra keeps Orion (Absent creator branch), Megatron kidnaps and raises Orion (Nemesis branch), etc...

TFP

Like Father Like Daughter (Mentor-Apprentice between Arcee and Megatron...its just daddy issues...its all daddy issues.) - Arcee is an urchin newbuild on the streets of Kaon. Her feisty temperament and insubordination caught his eye and he took the unstable newbuild under his wing. Will go into a whole post about this Au another time.

Reconciliation AU (prone to name change) - The war compromised very early on with the condition Megatron fabricate an equal role for himself as Lord Protector to Optimus' status as Prime. Main antagonist faction becomes the old functionalist council.

Obligatory Season 2 Orion Pax arc AU (came back home with more than a new paintjob)

TFA Daycare AU (Barely graduated Optimus gets stranded out in deep space with a kindergarden of protoforms after a field trip gone wrong.)

TFA Wrapbots AU (grimdark angst au where the repair team work at a fast food restaurant instead but its just a front for a menagerie of deeper and darker storylines.)

When I think of them, I'll add more AU storylines and hopefully for different continuities too.
