There's a pen I have had for few years. It really only has one issue: It smudges with water, which is fine if I'm just doing lineart to scan and color digitally, but when it comes to traditional art I do like my watercolors...

Well, it turns out the pen has a waterproof version!!! In three sizes :D

I'm especially impressed how many people colored the Fentonworks Kitchen because that one was very complex. Though, I do have a feeling that the Circus Gothica -poster may not have been much easier.

These have been a lot of fun to make, even if there was a lot of sending files between different devices and I had to get familiar with Krita again as it's the only drawing program I currently have on my laptop. (Apparently I hadn't updated it in years, so yeah... it's clearly not gotten much use in a while 😅)

Fun fact: this was actually the first piece I colored for this event, but since every single gore piece got colored before I was done I decided to take my time with the gore pieces I wanted to do. (People were really fast on that first day!)

Pandora was mostly colored with alcohol markers. The background is mix of watercolor, alcohol markers and acrylic paint.

I was bit scared I would regret the background, but I'm actually really happy with it 😊

All the black and grey were done with water based markers. The green crystals were colored with alcohol markers. The face and the green around her is watercolor.

Most of this is watercolor, but I used alcohol markers for the underside of Phantom's robes and for the dark part of the background. I also added some black, blue and yellow oil pastels in few places. And there's white acrylic paint.

I'm delighted by how much love Johnny and Kitty got in this year's linearts!

I usually think scanning stuff with a mobile app is good enough, but there hasn't been much sunlight for days so eventually I gave up on that and walked to the library to use an actual scanner. Some of the lightest colors definitely suffered in the scans, but other than that I think they are pretty accurate.
