This morning's skincare routine. I am LOVING #drhauschka Cleansing Cream but I don't need anymore cleansers in my life. 😖 The White Truffle Oil sheet mask was an absolute B&$)@ to open. You basically need to open the slit that causes the oil to mix with the mask. Good moisture. Did not see much brightening. 😭 Glad to have bought it at a discount from #kmall24. Did anyone notice the sneak peak of the Survival range at @niod? 😱 I know @deciem has been working on a sunscreen for a while now, and it looks like they might be CLOSE to the actual release. 😳😬😍 Initial impressions after 2 mins of very very quick scan to absorb whatever I could: reasonably priced at $30 for 1 oz. Physical sunscreen (yes!). Promises no white cast. Nano particles absent. Lots of silicones though. Not tinted. S0 = nighttime use (no sunscreen, base formula only). S10/20/30 provide SPF 10/20/30 in UVB protection. The description is a little light on UVA protection claims. It's interesting that they are prescribing S30 only for lighter skin tones. 🤔 S10/20 for dark and medium skin tones. I doubt I'd ever purchase anything less than S30 TBH even though I'm medium to dark skin toned. SPF 10/20 would only provide about 100/200 minutes of sun protection... 😒 I'm obviously very stoked and will definitely give S0 and S30 a try. Jury is out on how price efficient this will be though since 1 oz will roughly last me a month with the recommended usage. I hope they make these in bigger bottles. And does the packaging look like dropper bottles? I picked up a couple of things recently. 🌸 #EtudeHouse Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Mineral Sunscreen SPF50+ PA+++: This is a #GOTHAMISTAMADEMEDOIT @gothamista purchase. I highly recommend her latest video on mineral sunscreens, which is where I found this gem. I purchased mine on Amazon for $10. You can find it for $8 if purchased directly from Korea. I've used it a couple of times: Very liquidy and possibly the lightest mineral sunscreen I've ever used. Very slight white cast on my NC40 skin. Mild finishing powder dusting takes care of that. I think the alcohol is causing my drying though. Need to moisturize more than normal, but nothing that can't be handled. 🌸 #johnmastersorganics Linden Blossom Cream Face Cleanser: as mentioned in my Cleanser post, I've been on the lookout for a good cream Cleanser, and finally settled on this. Bought it for ~ $27 from Dermstore with a 20% off coupon code. It has beautiful extracts of rose and linden blossom in additional to a host of other floral waters and skin nourishing ingredients. The pricing is just right, and I love almost everything from this brand. I decided not to purchase some other brands I was considering either due to price or ingredients list. 🌸 #EltaMD UV Physical Broad Spectrum SPF41 Tinted: 3 oz for $30. I bought it at 20% off from Dermstore. First application this morning. It does have cones, but lower down the ingredients list, and just one type. A bit of a white cast that took about half an hour to settle. I still applied finishing powder at the end. It clung to some dry patches, but nothing too noticeable. I'm excited to continue to use this. When it comes to sunscreens, I think pricing is quite important so we don't skimp. Saturday morning 🎈This might be an unpopular opinion, but I can't handle the strong scent of #mahaloskincare Petal Mask - it's TOO strong, and often gives me a headache. 😑 I try and not breathe when I apply the mask. The smell dissipates a bit after a while, but it's still there. The results? Nothing to write home about. Best method for me personally is to leave it on as a morning cleanse/mask for 30 mins while eating breakfast. 🎈 I seem to have no patience for sheet masks these days. I really enjoyed this particular one from #AHC but after 30 mins just had to take it off (for absolutely no fault of the mask). The material is cushiony, and feels very comfortable to wear and has an excellent fit. It has slight texture to it. The essence is cooling and jelly like, 50% of which comprises of lemon 🍋 water (also the first ingredient). Niacinamide is the fifth ingredient. Other notable ones: HA, Allantoin, Sodium Ascorbyl Phospate, Gardenia Fruit Extract, Rose Flower Water. All in all, very impressive ingredients list. Some thoughts on some of the products from my routines today. 🐤 #drhauschka Cleansing Cream: I thought this has expired since it's a thick, brown paste with a funny smell. But it actually did a good job of cleansing with some light exfoliation. Turns out the brown color is from almonds. 🐤 #makeprem SPF50+ PA+++ Sun Cream: This is a mineral sunscreen. It leaves a bad white cast on me. 😓 I had to spend tons of time in the application of Glossier Skin Tint (which adds an ugly shine to my face). Then I had to spend even more time using a finishing powder to control the shine. I plan to use this as a neck and décolletage sun cream to finish it up. 🐤 I want to up the usage of #Tretinoin from every 3 days to every alternate day. My skin has adjusted well to it. Thoughts? Anyone using prescription Retinoid daily or on alternate days? 🐤 #InFioreBeauty Brilliance Cleansing Balm: This is beyond lush. Used as my second cleanse after removing makeup with micellar water. Full size #empties from May. I would repurchase #eoproducts bubble bath, #NIOD #CAIS 1%, #TheOrdinary Alpha Arbutin (already have backups). The #AlbaBotanica SPF30 was very hard to spread, oily, and left a white cast. It had started separating even though there's still a couple of months to go for expiration. 😢 #babobotanicals SPF 30 was also very hard to use, and dried up. I used it just once on a beach and it wasn't enough. My face was tanned in just an hour. The A'Pieu sunscreen pills.
