âSuch beautiful pink hair... I wonder if I can appear that feminine too...â
Raising her eyes from the words on the pages before her, she had noticed a pink head bobbing up and down in front of her -- seemingly bubbly and cheerful. Envious of their courage to choose such a flashy colour for their hair, she couldnât help but ponder if she were liked more by Ren Houjou if she was as adorable.
... Of course, it doesnât, shouldnât change the fact that her identity was somewhere in the grey. Perhaps even she has mistaken the pink-haired individual for something else.
@replicut
Sheâd done it before.
She had a veil over her face once upon a time.Â
Now, that was done because she was convinced to, and that she was impatient. It was a very irregular circumstance. And that Ren was around. She knew he would find her.
What she didnât expect was for a veil to cover her face while she was reading in the library of the hotel.
âE--eh? Excuse me,â she said, not sure if she was really dealing with an actual person here, or if it was a prank to turn her into a ghost, just to scare people and play their sick method of having fun. Rui wouldnât have minded that but she would rather have the sheet be returned to whoever possessed it.
Did somebody just walk up the stairs above her head and accidentally drop some white sheet over her?
@drgnstrike
Frankly speaking, never had she seen such sharp eyebrows, and intense eyes. Even if Renâs were intense, he rarely looked at anyone with such accuracy, he wasnât an archer after all. So with the stranger in front of her, she couldnât help but avert her gaze elsewhere, and reach for the back of neck -- as an attempt to relief the atmosphere of its burden.
âYouâre... Uh, new here?â

âHello?â
Peering at the pool area, she was hoping that no one would be there. Although Rui was naturally afraid of waters, if only because of a certain incident, she wanted to at least try and take a dip -- just to be sure, just to regain her confidence and ability to face her fears.
It didnât help that she was so easily convinced into doing things she would normally avoid, should she be of rational mind.
Unfortunately, Rui wasnât exactly a person with a mind of her own.
Noticing that there was hardly any sound to accompany or return her greeting, Rui felt relief in the lack of presence. If she were to show much fear, she would rather not show others.Â
Again, there were reasons as to why she couldnât do this in her own bathroom.
Slowly, she let her toes, touch the waters overflowing by the sides of the pool, before lowering herself, and letting the cold waters envelope her calves while she sat at the side. Her anxiety was present, but a pool of water... could hardly be bad for her, no?
She was doing fine so far!

@roremque
Anxiety seems to always fill her, whenever she was around feminine women. Those with long hair and more so if they were a foreigner, she had little to no confidence in being able to speak with them. This situation, for example, had her face a lady with pursed lips, and incredibly defined eyes -- that they seemed to look straight into the soul.
Rui couldnât help but feel, a little more than slightly intimidated.
Reflexively, she broke her gaze and refused to look at the lady.
âI... Sorry, was I disturbing you?â

Silence.
Silence is all the sound that fills her ears, ever since her arrival at the hotel. Eerie, but it wasnât like it bothered her in the first place. And for the first time today, she sought for sound, at the very least the sound of moving waters could comfort her.
So she stood, her eyes gazing at the river outside the hotel where she stayed.
And thought out loud, âI donât remember ever seeing this kind of sound of the river. It sounds rushed, but not... naturally.â

@imperfectdcll
Heavy was the atmosphere of the room, if only because she had not realised the existence of this hotel before. Yet here she was, drawn to the interiors, the antique designs, very unlike the oriental motifs she often perceived. Around her was either the modern, minimalist room of her senior, Ren, or the oriental woods of a temple she ... refused to remember, and would like to block off from her memories.
Here, here she felt safe.
After much time spent exploring upon her arrival (a trait picked up from Ren), she has found the Billiard Room most interesting, if only second to the library. Right now, she wanted to hold a cue stick, and play. Her bones ached with the need to move.
Just as she lowered herself to the table, preparing to jerk her stick forward, the door creaked open to reveal a boy with black hair.
She raised her brow, unsure as to what to do as she allowed her gaze to fall upon his face, for a moment. Not knowing that it could cause someone much discomfort.
Gently, her fingers loosened and allowed the cue stick to lean against the table, and greeted him.Â
âHello, you startled me just as I was going to play a game. Interested in one with me?â

A!
âAhah... Sorry, A can only stand for accompany, or assistant to me. It means a lot to have Houjou-sensei to accompany me everywhere, and for me as an assistant to accompany him, but... it seems like that isnât possible now that I am here.â
R, A, N, O
âRen!â
âI-I mean Houjou-sensei, but... He means a lot to me, and I wish to be able to do much for him that he needs me to! As for A...â
â... I canât really think of any, other than assistant. I guess itâs a duty Iâm accustomed to ever since I started living with him. N too...â
â... forgive me, I canât think of anything, following O. Other than oh crap, Iâm really boring.â
   âI am not certain of the city proper,â begins the Saniwa carefully, fingers gripping one of her sleeves carefully as the hand rises to tap at her cheek in thought. âBut the place known as âEoanâ has questsâ though those tend to be combat oriented. I do not really think there is much in the way of conventional employment here.âÂ
âAh, thatâs concerning then. I donât have combat capabilities, and at most Iâm capable of being a librarian, or bookstore keeper,â that aside, it was almost surprising for a civilian like her to simply disregard the thought of combat-oriented vacancies. Then again, she had undergone a lot more, in a different realm -- spirited away, possessed and influenced... It really wasnât her place to speak.
âHow unfortunate, but are you sure that Eoan only has combat-oriented job vacancies?â
Send a letter of the alphabet and my muse will talk about a person, place, or thing that begins with that letter.
â Something like that, yes. I suppose I could see why you would think that â but I can assure you that Iâm not a foreigner. I canât seem to recall how I ended up here, though, I would like to find out. Do you remember? âÂ
âNo, I -- forgive me, I got too carried away with the thought that you were a foreigner, if only because of your looks. I donât remember how I got here though, and itâs happened before. But now... circumstances seem to have changed. Have you... Did you lose somebody meaningful to you upon arriving here...? Thatâs... the case with me, right now and here.â
