I am learning, accidentally, what kind of books I like to read in terms of fiction which is. So Exciting, because I was honestly worried all reading was going to make me use my brain real heavy. So yay!!
I finished "One of Our Kind" by Nicola Yoon, which was??? batshit insane but also very predictable. An easy read, if a little heavy-handed with its racial commentary.
Now I'm starting Kindred by Octavia Butler. I read/am reading both of these on Libby on my phone, which is new to me because I usually can't focus on ebooks that long anywhere, but especially on my phone. So this is a strong indicator to be reading more books like this.
I also finished Project Hail Mary and the audiobook of Nothing Tastes as Good by Luke Dumas. Go read that rn. I'm gonna reread it soon.
So shoutout Libby for making my lunch break kinda Awesome.

Demonic Grounds - trying to read 10 pages every day at work to better contextualize my design work and prepare me for talking about it during grad apps
Black Times, Queer Futures - I think with that pace, I'll finish demonic ground p quickly, so I wanna start this soon too!! Want to have more time to sit with it in case I apply to USC for grad school and need to talk to Dr. Keeling.
Camera Lucida - Have not started but have been reading On Photography by Susan Sontag!! So I try to read these when I'm on the train, working on my photo project
All Data are Local - will probably save this for August, lowk the most boring but will be helpful for classes and maybe an assistantship
Feminist theory and hamlet on the holodeck - I forgot BOTH of these books at home, so will prob not get to them this summer. but i lost two and gained two, so i am okay with that!!
