i see she still holds a grudge
The alarms going off startled her, but she hated that she wasn’t actually surprised. By now, she really should come to expect the bells. She was about to round the console to see who was intruding when she heard the voice. His voice. She froze, hands gripping the console so tightly that her knuckles were turning white. He was the last person she wanted to see right now. The Doctor wasn’t surprised by his nerve, the very audacity to arrive here – now. She didn’t move from her spot. She didn’t even want to look at him. Not after everything he’d done to her.
Sure the point could be made that he had helped her realize the truth. But she still had a hard time accepting that truth. He had destroyed their home upon his own realization. Their home – her home; gone. Again. After everything she had done to save it, Gallifrey ended up completely destroyed. By the Master’s doing. Not to mention that he created a brand new race of cybermen. She felt she should be more surprised that he’d survivedthe bomb. But of course he did. He would always survive. Just the two of them, unable to die. Her eyes never left the console, even as she spoke. She didn’t want to even look at him.
❝Go away. Get out of my TARDIS.❞
— Giggle coming from his chest, he skipped a little as she snapped at him, and he danced around to be in front of her. This TARDIS, or this design of hers was so spacious. Not so crowded. Not so noisy when he dances on the ground. Smile spread wide on the Master's face, he tilted his head at her.
❝ Can't a friend come and check up on a friend ? ❞
