I believe you are mistaken on the exact difference between Racism and Prejudice. There is a very key difference here you’re missing. In fact, this is the same difference between Sexism and Prejudice, and all other personal bias and something ending in “-ism.” In order to be Racism/Sexism/ it has to have the backing of the System. The System being laws, cultural attitudes, everything built into the System to keep it like that. 

The balance of Power must be in favor of the majority for it be considered more then just prejudice. PoC are racially profiled in greater numbers by the police; evidence of Racism. The number of PoC in prisons is higher to that of Whites, again that makes it Racism. Anyone can be prejudiced. A prejudice is a personal bias against someone else. So, I as a white person, actually hate White People because of the culture I see them enforcing around me. That doesn’t make me racist, because White people are favored by the US Government. It most certainly makes me prejudiced. I’m prejudiced against Males and Christians as well. Again, both men and Christians are favored by the System, so I’m not Sexist or Anti Religious, just very prejudiced. 

Before you accuse me of just blowing smoke, I learned this through several college classes. I go this knowledge in college, not just on a whim by searching the Internet. 

Now, being a prejudiced asshole is wrong. So is the System built into place to trample on others. It isn’t nice when I lash out against the groups I’m prejudiced against. If you’re going to fight the fight, don’t do it by sounding under educated. Because all you’re doing is making yourself seem like a fool who doesn’t understand reality. All the people who agree with you are also under educated, and all the people who point out your mistakes are trying to win a pointless argument. I highly doubt you’ll see the truth in my words. You seem a bit too stubborn to unlearn unpleasant truths spoon fed you. Because guess what? The System helps stay in place by brainwashing people like you in school. Its worded in the very textbooks you read. I was brainwashed, and I had to unlearn all I was taught. It hurt, and it sucked, but I’m better for it. I’m making this long worded debate visible so that others who make be on the fence, and able to learn, will be able to do so.

By that logic, if I was in space and I started talking shit to my other astronaut buddy for being of a different race than me, I'd be in the clear. That wouldn't be racist. Because we're in space and there's no systems in place in space.
