Dancing with Liquor
The bottle calls, and I answer — a rush of fire melts into velvet on my tongue.
I feel lighter, as if gravity forgot my name. The world sways, but for once, it sways with me.
In sorrow, you calm the storm, pouring silence into my restless veins. In joy, you set the fire higher, turning sparks into a carnival of flames.
You — my only loyal lover, never late, never gone. When life cracks open, when I crack apart, I find you waiting — in crystal, in glass, in shadow.
And I know, when the end finally finds me, your taste will linger still — the last kiss I never let go.
