William watched carefully wondering if it was wrong of him to offer again, specially after the news that were delivered. He took a deep breath and was about to take it back because he didn’t want to upset Dan. Will searched Dan’s eyes once they locked to see if he could find a hint of the answer. The counter offer caught him off guard. His eyes went wide at that and he nodded. “Yes. Of course it’s a yes. I couldn’t ask for anything else.” He said and kissed him. “I’ll marry you anywhere, anytime.” Will added pecking his lips.

Daniel knew that William was serious about living together if they if was prepared to marry him. This move wasn’t just a whim thing, it was the step to their life together. He moved closer, his lips moving against the others as his hand held onto him close. “Okay.” That sealed the deal for him. He’d follow Will wherever he went. “Then marry me, when we’ve settled in New York and have a real life together.. Marry me. We don’t need anyone but us okay?” He smiled weakly. He was so happy, yet still hurt from the loss of his sister.

“Oh babe.” He said gently and just held him close. His next words took him by surprise. “So… Come with me. We can find a place together. We don’t have to let the company do it.” He said softly. “Start new. Together.” William told Daniel. “Will you move with me to New York?” He asked.

Daniel shifted so he was facing Will again. He shifted to get a few tissues and clean himself up once again. He sat up against the pillows as he weighed up Williams offer for what felt like the hundred time. Kelly was the only real reason he wanted to stay here. He could get a job anywhere. He looked at Will, thinking how easy it could be to just go to New York. How much relief it would be. His heart was heavy but he knew his answer. With a straight face he locked eyes wit Will. “I will move with you for New York City if you agree to marry me.”

William held on tight assuring Dan he was there. He still thought this was about moving away until Dan finally spoke. William swallowed and couldn’t help but move to carry Dan and take him to his room. He laid Dan on the bed and Will climbed next to him. As soon as he was in bed Will pulled Dan to him and just held him as he broke down. He wasn’t sure what this meant, he knew Kelly was a big part of the reason Dan was there, he didn’t want to leave her behind again. “She didn’t leave a note or anything?” He asked softly.

"No-” Daniel cried into Wills pillow. God he felt so pathetic breaking down like a teenage girl after a break up but it had come at such a shock. He felt so torn about leaving Kelly and yet she’d just up and left him. “I don’t want to be here anymore-” he blurted out. With Kelly gone Chicago was only home in Will stayed. Home was where his heart was, and that was with Will and Kelly. He had to be with one of them or he’d go crazy.

Will had been working like crazy on trying to fix the EP for Raven it was nearly done but he sat on his laptop making a new song. One that had arrived in his head with the situation he was in. He swallowed as he worked on more of a beat, he hadn’t talked to Dan, wanting him to think about what he was going to choose, so the knock on the door was a surprise. Will got up with Loki behind him. He opened the door to see Dan about to break down. His heart dropped and Will pulled Dan into his apartment, he pulled him into his arms ready to hear him say that he had chosen to stay. 

Daniel was drawn into Will’s arms and he instantly started to break down. Sobs broke from his lips as he clung to the male. He didn’t care if the door was wide open. He didn’t care about anything right now. His sister was gone. Is this what she felt 13 years ago? “Kelly- left-” he managed to get out. “I-Will-” Daniel had nothing here in Chicago now Kelly was gone. Friends he could keep international, he’d done it with his friends in India, but family he wanted close. He clung to his boyfriend.

Will didn’t say anything and just let out his emotions by letting himself cry. He knew it had to work out because it would be just cruel of the world to put someone as wonderful as Dan in his path and just take him away. He closed his eyes and just snuggled Dan, holding on to him to their relationship because he wasn’t going to let it end like this. “It has to.” He told Dan muffled by the male’s chest. 

Daniel kissed Will’s forehead as he stroked the male’s back. He hadn’t been this scared before. Losing Will was going to break him, even if it was just losing him physically and not mentally. He closed his eyes, staying attached to the other. “I love you..” he whispered, his body feeling heavy and ready to just pass out like this.

The male walked through the halls a broken soul. He had just visited Kelly’s to find the place empty. Kelly was gone. The reason he was in Chicago, the person he’d connected with that he never thought he would, was gone. She didn’t even say goodbye. Daniel had been stressing the last day thinking about moving and how it would screw up everything Kelly and he had worked for. She’d just up and left him, like it was an easy decision. Daniel found his way in front of Will’s place just as his chest started to feel tight. He didn’t know what to do, to feel. Kelly was gone. He banged on Will’s door, bottom lip trembling.

“Dan… I can’t. I just can’t be without you.” Will said swallowed the knot in his throat. “I worked hard to be with you too. I can’t let go of either.” He said with a sigh. Will started to full on cry and he tried to gain some composure because with both of them crying there was no way to figure things out. “I love you too much. I don’t want to say goodbye.” Will said softly. 

“We’ll make it work..” Daniel struggled to say. He wasn’t stupid, he knew the difficulties that may come for them. He felt Will start to shake, and knew the male was crying now. With his grip on the male he shifted them to be laying down on the couch. He held Will to his chest, squeezing his eyes shut. “It’s going to be okay..” he chanted, though he had no idea if it was going to be.

“Um. no? Not at all…” Preston said slowly, wheeling himself to a spot a few feet away. He wanted to ask if Dan was okay, but the answer was pretty clear and asking would only make him look stupid. “Sorry…” He mumbled softly.

“Yeah well,” Daniel rolled his eyes as went back to his viewing of the city. He took a long drag before side glancing the male. “Don’t be such a baby. It’s fine. Whatever. Just don’t make noise, please.”

Jayden narrowed his eyebrows. This dude was somewhat rude, but Jayden was a mellow guy. “My bad, dude. Must be my hangover hearing shit.” He grinned despite the look on the man’s face. “Maybe I’ll get adopted like a puppy would.”

Dude. Who said dude? He cringed a little at the word. Such a weird word. "You have a problem; puppies are actually cute,” Daniel countered before he went back to his phone call. He walked around, pacing as he talked.

Dan had always found ways to surprise Will and this was one of those moments. They’d been together for a while now and he knew Dan trusted him, still he hadn’t expected the hug or just Dan trying to hold on to him as if he thought he’d already lost him. Will tried to hold back his own tears but a few were already running down his cheeks. Will couldn’t believe that this could be it, could he really let go of Daniel? He could, he could end it and leave, let him find someone else to love him, that deserves his love or long distance, Will knew that option was crazy because they would still be apart. The I love yous got through in his head and that just made his chest tighten, he felt like everything he worked hard to build with Dan would be destroyed. “I love you too, Dan. I can’t leave you. Dan how am I supposed to survive when you’re like my oxygen?” He said choking up.

"You need to,” Dan whispered, his lips moving against the other’s neck. “You need to do it for me. To go to New York no matter what - you have to fight for this I will not be the reason you stay behind. God damn it Will - you don’t understand how hard this is for me. To say to leave, to go with or without me. It hurts so fucking much,” he choked out, his fingers clinging tightly to the male. He didn’t want to have to let go of Will, but he wasn’t stupid. Will has worked his butt off to get to where he was now, Dan would never forgive himself if he was the obstacle that stopped him.

Preston was looking for a quiet place to think, and possibly write some new songs. He’d been balancing his job at the pub, his internship, and physical therapy, and he really needed a distraction right now. When he arrived at the pool and saw Dan, he gave a tiny wave. “Hey.”

“Please tell me you’re not going to be annoying,” Daniel requested, staying at the male before he looked back out over the city. He wasn’t in the mood for someone destroying his moment of peace out here.

But with an if there is even a small assumption that there is a chance of boredom. Heck, even when I’m angry at him I can be entertained by his body. [laughs] Yeah well, I’m usually the villain so when someone thinks I’m a hero I’ll take it.

“Apparently nobody tells me things anymore.” Kiara said. “Oh, well, that’s nice of them.” she looked at the ground. The thought of Dan moving broke her heart, he’d been there for her through some tough times since she arrived at Lakeview. She knew she could always visit, and she wanted him to be happy, even if it meant for him to move cross-country with Will. “She’d want you to be happy Dan. She’d understand. I was never close to either my brother or sister and they both protested me coming to the states, but I wanted to study over here and they understood, they wanted me to be happy even though I was moving over here to America. You won’t be abandoning her.”

“Him and Raven both worked for weeks and ended up getting signed by the company. I mean obviously they worked their careers but for a few months there it was just targeted to Columbia. Raven has an EP that Will produced that is suppose to come out like next month or something. It’s Will’s first sort of big label piece. First titled work.” Daniel ran his hand through his hair. “I have a few days - if I just talk to Kelly...” he trailed off. Daniel moved to take a drag of his cigarette before it was a complete waste. He stubbed out the tiny bit that remained and went to light a new one.

Huffing again she sat down and took off her heels. “You know, there’s this thing called social behavior and social ethics that even though some are hard to follow, it’ll be respectful to do that” she said slowly, saying each work as clear as she could. “Do you want me to list all the details of the Golden ration or even more details of human rights and every single bill that has been passed in the history that has been racist and stupid?” she asked, smirking.

“Oh enlighten me what such things are,” Daniel said sarcastically. If anything he was fair sure he respected people more than they did others. He didn’t use people to throw emotions out at them, he didn’t blurt out every little problem to them like they were Dr. Phil. He encouraged people to sort their own shit out. He didn’t lie, well most of the time, and he told it how he saw it. He protected people when they hurt, he tried to get people in their homes when they choose to sleep outside of them for their safety. He stayed out of peoples dramas - mostly - and knew when someone was about to throw a punch, so he gave them a target who could take it. Daniel did more for these people than they’d ever realize, and when he was gone they probably wouldn’t care. “See you completely miss the point, when I said intellectual you automatically go to such things as the golden ration and law. No, I mean something that isn’t you telling me something, it us discussing something, debating or evolving on a conversation. Something with real depth to it.” Daniel rolled his eyes.

Jayden squinted his eyes beneath the dark lens of his sunglasses, focusing on the man before him. “First thing, I need you to stop yelling. I’m really hungover. All I said was if you’re talking to me, I don’t really know what you said before.”

“I’m not yelling. Go eat something greasy and try not to annoy people as you do. I am on the phone, I never said anything to you.” Daniel went to bring his phone back up to his ear but paused. “And please get off the steps - you look homeless and close to death. Someone will think you’ve been abandoned.”
