“guess someone get her INFORMATIONS wrong because since when I’m dating someone? ” and he finally admits it. he finally admits that he wasn’t DATING anyone, especially not Malia, “ malia was just a distraction, not in a the way you think, she helped me. ” and it was true, she helped him to spread the news everywhere. he couldn’t date a girl after CLARY. he was too BROKEN to date anyone else but to protect her and his friends, he couldn’t help but broke things up. “ I know you are a shadow hunter, I know you can take care of yourself, but what am I if I can’t protect you? all I could actually do is just stay there with no powers or daggers who have magic in them. Me, ” he said as he approached her slowly. “ I’m only HUMAN. I can’t do things that scott or Jace or Alec can do. green eyes widen as he admits he’s not dating anyone, and her heart sinks into her stomach. “what?” she whispers, too surprised to really process what he’s saying. but she listens to his words and her anger fizzles away, and it dawns on her that this whole thing has only happened because of how much he loves her. her eyes stare into his as he approaches her, his gentle touch just making her want him more and more. “don’t say that.” she grabs his wrist, pulling him back towards her, standing in front of him as if she can STOP him from leaving. “you deserve so much better than me. i’ve known that since day one. but you chose me, okay? and i chose you. i’ll always choose you, stiles. over ANYONE and everyone. i don’t care if you’re human, i don’t care what you are. i love you so much. i’d do a n y t h i n g for you. and i don’t care if you can’t keep me safe, okay? because you make me feel safe and that is what matters.” she buries her face into his chest, hiding her tears from him. “please don’t go.” she whispers. “you’re all i have.”

stiles couldn’t believe what he just heard coming from the only girl he cared. how can she think that he never cared about her when he still do care about her. he loved her and pushing her away was the biggest mistake he had made and to hear her saying those HARSH words to him just breaks his heart even more. eyes locked with her own, he said a bit HARSH. “ are you SHITTING me now? you were E V E R Y T H I N G to me too. I could have done everything for you and don’t just don’t think that it’s even easy for me to forget you because it’s not. ” he breathes heavily as he looks at her. “ not being around you rip me to shreds, but I think it was better if you were away from me, though now it’s too late to take back what I told you that night, that I didn’t LOVED you because I did; I still do LOVE you. but I’m not the right person for you. ” he said as he looks at her, sincerity in his gaze. “ I just want you to be safe! not being surrounded by my demons or the other thing around us. ” he said as he closed his eyes, trying to look away as he said the REAL reason. “ it was to PROTECT you, Clary. I’d DIE if something bad happened to you. don’t blame me because all I want to do is protect you. ”

“screw you, stiles!” clary flings back. “whether or not you’re the right person for me shouldn’t be your decision. it’s MY choice! and you never even gave me a chance to make it.” frustration is clear in her tone, but there are tears streaming down her cheeks now. “if you’re so adamant to protect the people you love by pushing them away, then why are you dating someone else? surely she’d be in danger too?” she laughs bitterly. “i’m a s h a d o w h u n t e r! i’ll still be surrounded by things that are dangerous! don’t give me bullshit excuses. why is it so hard for you to admit that you just didn’t CARE?” she turns away from him slightly so she can run her hands over her face, smudging her makeup slightly. this is eating away at her, hurting her in ways she never thought she’d be hurt. “if you want to go, then go. but just know if you walk away now, everything between us is over.” if he walks away now, she’ll have no reason not to believe that she still isn’t enough for him. she looks down at the ground, hair falling over her face. this is his last chance to prove that he loves her --- that he ever LOVED her.
