I remembered that Tumblr exists haven't been active here in a while, so time to update the intro post!
My name is Rune or Rayne, I go by they/them.
I reblog all the fandom stuff here >:]
Extensive list of fandoms is too extensive I fear, so just know that I am currently in the trenches that is Bloodymary (I'm so normal about them, trust)
I do art occasionally as well, go check it out on @whimsy-rune
Fanart for @nowthatswhaticallpunk 's delightful BloodyMary fanfiction << Anathema >>
Please go check it out! The fanfiction is amazing, one of the firsts I ever read and despite it breaking me to pieces it's still one of the fics I still think about fondly. Deliciously written as are all of Blizzard's works!
(Also, I got this idea on like the last second so I HAD to get it done)
sorry guys, I was not up for rendering this drawing...... but I'm working on another doorkeay one which won't be so strenuous to render ✨️ so stay tuned for that
I just figured I'd feed you guys this scrapped piece too while you wait for the actual drawing 🎉🎉

Simon couldn't see through the hair in his face. He was lying face down, hair trapped under his nose, hands splayed out beside his head. For a cosmic being of all power and capabilities, he seemed to get headaches frequently.
'Simon! Hey, where are you?' A deafening voice came from behind him. The man let out a low grunt in response.
He didn't hear Grace approach, but he could feel his presence. Once the man got close enough, Simon found his body being pulled backwards by his chest. He sighed. There was no getting away from Grace while he was caught in the man's orbit. Especially not when his form was so small, and Grace's was so large.
A warm hand wrapped around his waist, a finger coming up to nudge at his head. Simon didn't open his eyes, and simply curled into the contact. His arms encircled the finger.
'Hey, Si, is everything okay?' A warm voice, sweet like honey and comforting to the ears, rumbled against his body. Grace was looking down on him with concern in his eyes. The fingers under Simon's chin nudged around a little in a semi-comforting gesture.
He responded with a shake of the head, then a nuzzle to the hand holding him. His sign for "I'm in pain, please don't leave me".
Grace sighed. He lowered himself to where his feet met something solid. He sat criss-cross. Simon got placed on one thigh so he could continue curling up to the man above him while also lying down.
They stayed like that for a little bit. The warmth of Grace helped ease the headache a little and he liked how comfortable his pants could be for resting.
Simon shifted his weight a little and realised he was growing bigger. He stayed curled in Grace's arms until he was fully sized once more. His head pressed into the sun's collarbone, letting heat evaporate his head pain.
'Welcome back to the land of the living, Si. Feeling better?' Grace murmured in his ear once he felt the grip on his hand loosen. Simon nodded, then pressed his lips to the curve of the man's shoulder. The sun smiled.
Grace leaned down. His lips pressed against Simon's temple. 'Wanna dance with me?'
The moon looked up. His eyebrows furrowed.
'C'mon Si, it'll be fun. It'll help take your mind off the headache.' Warm hands skittered down the man's torso. Simon jumped with a laugh on his lips. His sun smiled wider, then pushed him off his lap.
'Stand up! C'mon! You'll love it!' Grace scrambled to a stand. His sash tails fluttered behind him. Simon sat on the ground for just a moment before a smile split across his face and he stood too.
'Don't we usually have music to dance?' Simon smirked at his over-excited dance partner. Grace nodded, then bit his lip. They didn't have any form of music to dance to. They didn't know how to produce any.
Well, one person did. They came bounding along, chittering excitedly. He bumped against Grace's leg.
'Grace! Grace, I learnt something new! Wanna see, wanna see!?' Rocky wrapped two arms around Grace's leg and bumped him again, this time purposefully. The sun smiled and leaned down.
'Yeah, of course Rock. Just be a little quieter.' He chuckled, then cast a glance at Simon. The man nodded gratefully. Rocky could be quite loud when he wanted to be.
The rock friend backed off Grace, hands twisting in each other nervously. He held his body higher in preparation.
Music. A sorrowful, pained whale-song emitted from his body, engulfing the two men. It felt like sand was filling their bones, weighing them down in an ocean of time.
Rocky ended just a moment later. He vibrated in excitement to see his human's reactions.
'Oh... wow.' Grace shook himself a little to get out of the trance the song had put him in. 'That's... woah, that's beautiful, Rocky.'
'Do it again. Longer.' Simon stepped a little closer to the duo in front of him. His voice was forceful, but not of disrespect. Rocky tilted his carapace at the other in question. When Simon didn't back down or explain why, he did. Rocky raised his torso again and began to sing.
'Care for that dance, my Sol?' Simon smiled at Grace. The man bounded over excitedly. His warm hand intertwined with Simon's own. The moon's other hand came to a rest on the warm skin of Grace's hip while the sun's found a shoulder to rest on. Fuck, his sun was so warm. When did that happen? Usually he was kept at a nice, barely warm temp. Now, he was burning up.
Grace guided his other's head to rest on his collarbone. They began to sway slightly. Simon felt the headache recede as he danced. His sol always managed to chase them away. He didn't know how or why, but he was a goddamn good solution to them.
The sun pulled back from Simon, leaving him cold. Two mismatched eyes cracked upon to see him holding their hands up high, twirling underneath them. His pant-tails swung around too, making it seem like he was wagging them.
Grace still held the hands high, face full of expectance. Simon couldn't help but chuckle. He turned slowly under them as well. His other half beamed with the power of ten suns. They came back together, comforting heat and refreshing cold melding into the other, pulling them closer.
Rocky moved slowly as he sang, swaying to his own music. Waves of melancholy rolled over the deities. A heavy weight settled on their shoulders, forcing them closer together, bringing their non-beating hearts back to life to sync for just a moment. To share their pain with each other. To have their memories of cold dark places, warm ships, blaring lights, unsettling sounds fade into the background as they indulged in each other. To find comfort, solace, consolation, love. To love each other despite their scars and amnesia, to touch and not flinch.
Grace opened his eyes slightly. They met a face so derelict of pain it made him smile warmly. The yellow of his eyes sparkled as he leaned forward, kissing his lune on the temple. A flicker caught his adoring gaze.
Under their feet, the stars were coming to life.
Stellar nurseries burned bright where their feet touched. Existing suns burned brighter and brighter under their dancing forms. The tails would brush a nebula, and it would burst into incandescent hues of blue and gold and green.
Grace giggled softly. His lune lifted his head to see what was making the deity so amused. The shifting colours below their masquerade captured his full attention. A cold foot hit a warm one, and they almost fell. Grace stiffened to brace against Simon. Rocky, the quick-minded guy that he is, bounded up behind Simon and lifted his arms, holding the man in place so he could right himself.
'Thanks, Rock. Thanks Ry.' He muttered, using the other human's biceps to steady himself. The sun chuckled and pulled the other closer.
'Of course. Wanna get back to dancing?' He pressed his lips to the other's cheek for a second. The moon nodded softly.
'Rocky will provide the music! Rocky love seeing friends dance!' The rock deity chirped happily, patting both men on the legs a couple of times for emphasis. He backed off and shook a little. He was preparing himself to sing again, as it rattled his whole carapace and strained his vocal chords to do. But he didn't mind. He loved the sounds he produced, and he loved seeing his friends happy because of his music.
The whale song flowed through the space like a roll of fog. It haunted the stars, the nebulas, the nurseries. The sound reverberated through their bones. It pinged off their muscles and caused the deities veins to sing like harps.
They moved around each other like they had done this for eons. Arms pulled, dipped, looped, touched, grabbed, held. Lips pressed, opened, laughed, spoke, kissed. Feet dragged, lifted, spun, kicked.
The galaxy around them danced with the deities. Stellar nurseries spun and twirled around their ankles. Suns kissed their skin and stuck to their hair. Planets fell into their orbit, joining their dance like moths to flame. Laughter reverberated through space, reaching the far corners and fueling the life of their love. The sun and the moon, the Sol and the Lune, danced, for they had time. They had each other. They had love.
Idk why this one was such a struggle to do... It was pulling on my nerves but I managed. I actually enjoyed drawing the portal design!! Of course, it's based on deadlymelodic's portal designs and drawovers!
As a teen I was obsessed @elicedraws 's Destiel Sun/Moon AU (if you see this, sorry for the scare) and it's such a great inspiration for my version of BloodyMary, crazy to think how without Elice, there would've been very little possibility for these designs to exist
I'm a sentimental prick, and I gotta say I love you all for supporting this silly account and being so patient with me sbdjdjd 💜✨
