I had read this book originally so long ago (around the time it came out), so rereading it was like remembering an old friend. What I did NOT remember was how utterly wonderful Blaggut was.

thanks to @/insert-image-here for discussing blind hatchlings with me!! im happy to go into more detail with asks :) but more or less viewing something so incomprehensible fries their brain and eyes and blinds them for a good long while, until things start to settle down and some vision comes back (hearthians are super hardy like that)
