#WIP Modern Alchemist/Witch's room

I'm in the midst of my second project and am currently at the concept phase.

Here is the current paint over, using some photo manipulation and digital painting to get my idea across, as well as a colour breakdown of my assets.

I haven't been posting WIP's as I go through with my first project for school, I'll try do better as I get into the 2nd one ><

But, for my Sword and Shield project, I ended up choosing the Sci-Fi theme somewhat inspired by Japanese Culture.

The shield is based off the Japanese Tate, a big shield that could be deployed to take cover from arrows (or bullets in this case) or worn on the back for protection while moving. In this case, it has a sort of hover disk to be free standing and can collapse itself to be more portable.

The blade has the Hamon (edge pattern) inspired by what you'd see on Katana, and the grip is based on the Katana grip as well.

I had fun with this project, and did have some difficulties keeping it to the low poly limit we were given, but I am pretty happy with how the render and models came out. Keen to work on more :3
