starting off the year with a simple drawing of some leaky pipes for today's pixel dailies!

decided to keep it simple with a 64x64 canvas, colors from the nyx8 palette, and an abstract chain pattern in the background ^^

i posted my 2025 art summary/recap on my bsky! i'm pretty proud of my progress this year, especially since i was able to dabble in different styles and use a variety of palettes ^^ 2026's looking a bit busy for me, but i hope i'll be able to continue putting out pixel art every now and then :)

today's pixel dailies prompt was "scary musical instrument," so i let my mind get to work and thought of a "bagpipe dragon!" this was a pretty fun draw, and i managed to do it only using colors from the mail24 palette ^^

one of the previous pixel daily prompts in August this year was "kasa", so i drew a kasa-obake! (傘おばけ)

i made this only using colors from the Eroge Copper palette, and it popped off pretty hard over in bsky -- i think it's one of my more popular pieces this year ^^

one of the previous pixel dailies prompts was to make a webring widget, so here's mine!

it features my OC, Myr, and my old Ruriality logo that i used when i tabled in a con for the first time ^^

holy hell i keep forgetting i have a tumblr account i'm back, alive, and i'll actually try to dump some of my newer artwork soon! remember that i'm always a bit more active on my bsky ^^;; in any case, let's start out with my latest piece -- a DS Castlevania-styled sprite of my OC, Mintha!

today's pixel dailies prompt was "tablet", so i drew a stone tablet inscribed with a bunch of runes!

the runes are supposed to be just nonsensical shapes that i thought looked cool

but afterwards, i felt like the drawing was too simple, so i ended up treating the background as an exercise for textures and patterns too ^^

silksong's taken over my brain for the past few days, so i decided to doodle one of my favorite lil guys - sherma! ^^

hi! i'm still alive i'm back from a hiatus (being sick for a week) + i forgot about posting stuff to tumblr ;; i'll slowly post some of my things from bsky here again, starting with my latest drawing -- my OC, Silveria! ^^

drew a little cannon on a raft for today's pixel dailies! definitely a fun warm-up for getting back into pixel art ^^

back from a vacation in JP - here's an experimental piece where i decided to play around with negative space! in particular, i drew inspiration from MTG artist Jeremy Wilson and his amazing pieces like Dreams of Steel and Oil and Unnatural Restoration ^^

i finally got the courage to draw one of my OCs again, who's also the mascot of my art accounts: Myr!

considering i only started taking up pixel art seriously literally 1 year ago, i'm pretty happy with my progress and how she turned out ^^

here's to hopefully another year of learning pixel art and improving at my own pace :)

i recently finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and it's insane how good this game is

it's to the point where i wanted to make fanart ASAP, so here's a pixel art drawing of one of my favorite characters from the game: Monoco!

definitely check this game out if it's not on your radar yet - i genuinely think it's a very strong contender for GOTY this year!

quick 1-hr draw of the Vampire Killer whip for today's pixel dailies! totally put more effort into the handle and spiked ball than the chains ^^;;

drew an orange and some slices for today's pixel dailies! here's hoping this acts as a good warmup for the week, since it's been a while since my last draw ^^

i played through a one-shot of Maid RPG with friends over the weekend and drew a doodle of my character for the occasion!

despite it being a one-shot, i ended up really liking the shenanigans of this character, so i'm tempted to make her a permanent OC eventually ^^

i recently finished up both paths in Dream BBQ Chapter 1, so i decided to doodle ENA! ^^ initially, this was meant to be for yesterday's "entity" pixel daily too, but i was too tired today ewe;; i've been waiting on Dream BBQ since it was announced, so i thoroughly enjoyed the current release and i'm definitely excited for the next chapters ouo)9
